The witness was turkey hunting with a companion in wooded river bottomland and walked back toward the parked truck after dark. An unseen source in the woods kept pace about 100 feet away for about ten minutes, including keeping up when the witness ran about 100 yards. The witness heard it snap a large fallen tree in two, suggesting great weight. The witness reached the road area, slept in the truck overnight, and heard no additional screams or strange noises.

The witness was sitting inside a mobile home with an infant after dark when a dog began barking and would not leave its house. A group of youths watching cattle from a hill saw the herd become anxious and flee a corner of the field. They went to the fencerow to investigate and found reddish hair on barbed wire and a small pine twisted and knocked over high up. After hearing movement, two of them saw a face with gray-white eyes and reddish hair about seven feet up near the broken tree and watched it for about two minutes before fleeing.

The witness was bow-hunting deer alone from a makeshift blind at a clearing near a power-line cut. Late one spring night in 1979, the witness and a sibling were in bed in a downstairs bedroom when they saw a tall hairy figure looking in the window and then at the back door apparently trying to get inside. Their mother also saw the figure at the back door and called out for help before contacting the sheriff. Deputies searched the surrounding woods but reportedly found only a burned area of ground from apparent vomit and a small knocked-down tree.

Heavy, slow footsteps approached to within a few feet behind the tent, paused, then moved away. The witness briefly followed on foot but saw nothing in the dense woods, and later found several small trees snapped or pushed over beyond a tangle of large fallen logs.

The witness, then 15, was walking to a fishing spot along the Yukon River when a tall dark figure was seen about 200 feet away near trees. The witness hid behind a utility shed and watched the figure hop with legs apart and wave its arms around an aspen tree without sound, then try to pull itself up on a branch that snapped loudly. The witness then kept the shed between himself and the figure and ran away.

Two companions walking along a wooded driveway in the afternoon heard unidentified tapping sounds and entered the woods to investigate. They found freshly matted grass and a human-like bare footprint with five toes in dried mud. Shortly after, the companion shouted to run as loud timber-breaking crashes and movement occurred in dense undergrowth behind him. The reporter did not see the source, but the companion reportedly saw something about seven feet tall, after which both fled to the driveway.

While camping with relatives in swampy woods, the witness heard prolonged screaming and strange noises through the night that frightened the group. They were unable to leave due to muddy roads and remained in camp until morning. At first light they found small trees snapped over, grass flattened, and what they described as huge footprints.

In 1977 two companions hunting frogs at a remote pond heard a roar and saw trees moving. One saw a large brown hairy form partly hidden behind a cedar tree and swaying. Both fled on foot while hearing heavy thuds, and one saw a large rock bouncing nearby. A few days later they returned and found a cleared limb bed and a limb torn from a mesquite tree, but no footprints due to rocky ground.

Three teenagers camping in a field behind a house smelled urine and heard something rushing through nearby woods. They fled toward the house as a tall hairy creature pursued them and later stood over their campfire throwing logs aside. The creature then circled the house and stepped onto the porch during the night before leaving by daylight, with broken branches found the next morning.
