Man remembers seeing an animal move through a ravine near Yosemite
The witness was camping with four companions near Sonora Pass at dusk when the group heard loud crashing from a nearby ravine. The witness then watched a dark, hair-covered figure run upright across granite rocks and through fallen trees at high speed, breaking branches as it moved. The companions retreated in fear while the witness moved closer to observe to within about 100 feet.
Memory told of a nighttime close encounter in the Henning Conservation Area near Branson
Two companions walking a hillside trail at night heard a loud snap and saw two large bipedal figures silhouetted against city lights. After one companion shouted, a second shorter figure stood up beside the taller slumped figure, and both fled on two legs crashing through small trees. The witnesses estimated the taller figure at 7.5 to 8 feet tall, hid at the fire tower overnight, and noted broken limbs and a sweet unpleasant odor in the area the next morning.
Large prints found in mud and then vocalizations heard south of Yakama Reservation
The witness drove to rented pasture to check fences where cattle had been getting out. He found a large tree knocked through the fence with strange hair on the wire, moved the tree and repaired the fence, then found very large fresh footprints in mud near a creek. He heard a grunt near the repair site and later a high-pitched scream from the same direction, found items tossed from his truck bed, then left and did not return.

The witness and a companion heard loud brush movement and limb-breaking sounds at a secluded pond, then smelled a strong unpleasant odor and felt unease. A short time later about a mile away they found a series of five very large footprints in a dried boggy area. They later returned and made a plaster cast and took photos of the prints.

Two 12-year-olds camped by the river on their family ranch and went to sleep around 10. In the middle of the night they heard splashing crossing the river approaching the tent, then close vocalizations like grunts and talking. The visitor moved downriver out of sight, then crashed up a steep bank breaking large branches before going silent, and the boys fled uphill to the house.

The witness and a fellow soldier were on a moonlit two-man patrol defending a simulated missile site during a training exercise. They heard a long loud scream that shifted into babble and cackling, saw a large silhouette on a ridge, and followed it for over a kilometer. When the figure charged downhill toward them they moved to intercept, then stopped amid intense layered odor and withdrew feeling they were in danger.

On signal they shined high-beam lights and saw a tall dark brown hairy figure step across the trail in one stride and run up a wooded hill breaking limbs. They gathered the dogs and left without approaching.

The witness and a companion arrived home at night and heard a loud roaring scream twice from a nearby hillside. The witness took a light and walked toward the woods without it on, smelling a strong foul odor and hearing branches breaking. When the flashlight was turned on, the witness briefly saw a tall, large, hairy bipedal animal fleeing through the woods. Broken branches and ground disturbance were found the next day.

Six people hiking down a mountain trail in the afternoon saw an approximately six-foot dark-blonde bipedal animal scramble across the trail from upslope to downslope. A dog with the group chased it barking, then a fair-sized tree fell about 50 yards away, after which the dog went quiet and returned. The witnesses watched the tree fall from uphill but could not see the animal through the thick forest during the chase.

A group of six hiked down a mountain trail in the afternoon. A hair-covered biped crossed the trail between the lead hiker and the next person and leapt down an embankment into trees. The party glimpsed movement and heard crashing as a dog chased it, then watched a distant burnt tree sway with creaking before falling. Believing the creature pushed the tree over, the group left quickly.
Man recalls face to face childhood encounter near London
In April 1991 around 2 p.m., the witness was playing with a BB gun near a garden and ravine, jumped onto a rock, and encountered a roughly 5-foot tall hair-covered creature within about 13 feet. The creature ran away through the woods with loud branch-breaking sounds, and the witness fled to the house then returned with a relative. They found broken branches, slide marks, and a three-toed footprint, though the witness later noted the tracks might not be from the same animal.

They heard a distant roar that suddenly sounded a few feet away, lit the area with a spotlight, and saw a tall upright creature with its back to them that ran and then paused. The creature roared again when shot at and pushed over a green cottonwood before the group left.
Loud vocalizations sounds heard
During a nighttime military training bivouac near Cat Lake, the witness heard huffing and barking sounds approaching down a moonlit hillside with shaking and falling trees. A large upright man-like form with broad shoulders stepped into the clearing, huffed loudly, then ran upright across the clearing with swinging arms and heavy steps felt in the ground. The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.

A week later the witness returned to the same woods with a relative and dogs. Footsteps followed them and stopped when they stopped, then something circled them whooping and making gibberish sounds while another answered from the right. Trees sounded like they were being ripped up and the dogs fled the area.

The witness and four companions camped overnight on a mountain ridge to celebrate finishing a music recording. Late at night they heard clear bipedal footsteps approaching up a steep slope, followed by breaking limbs and circling around their camp outside the firelight for over half an hour. They also heard loud exhaled huffs that frightened them. They abandoned camp and returned the next day for their gear.

While walking on a forested rural road at night after a family argument, the witness was approached by a growling farm dog. Loud booms and cracking from the woods stopped the dog, then a tall figure with glowing eyes roared. The dog whimpered and fled, the figure vanished, and the witness ran home.

The witness and a hunting partner encountered a very tall hair-covered figure on a raised railroad bed while walking to their tree stands. They shone a flashlight on it, saw a huge hand raised to its face, and watched it approach to about 25 yards. They fled to a ladder stand, then heard it running and a violent fight with another unseen animal that ended with a splash in the river, after which they waited until daylight to leave.

In the early morning the reporter and one companion were awakened by loud, close wailing vocalizations followed by crashing vegetation, breaking branches and heavy thuds lasting several minutes. A third companion slept through the episode. The group left at dawn and found no physical signs.
