A group of firefighters waiting in a van around three in the morning felt the vehicle shoved down. They found no visible cause but later noted large handprints in dust on the van and large footprints in burned grass nearby. Photos were said to exist but have not been recovered.
Police officer describes late night road crossing sighting south of Wanblee
The witness, a police officer on midnight patrol, was driving back toward town when he noticed movement in the roadside ditch. Moments later a hair-covered figure ran across the road in front of his vehicle from west to east, visible only from thigh to shoulder in the headlights. He stopped to look but it was gone, and the next morning he found grass impressions showing heel and toes.

A family reports seeing an unidentified tall biped around their rural home over four years, usually at night. The creature is described as 7 to 9 feet tall, walking upright with a slight hunch and running too fast to follow. Footprints, hair, possible saliva, blood stains, and snapped small trees were also found on the property. Up to nine family members in three houses have seen it when arriving, leaving, or moving between houses.

The witness and his father were awakened around 2 a.m. by knocking at their motel door. Looking through the peephole they saw a tiny elderly woman outside, but when the door was opened she was suddenly a football field away. They followed tiny boot prints across a field into the woods for a quarter to half a mile until the tracks abruptly stopped.
