While driving to work in the dark, the witness saw a tall hairy biped step out and cross the road in two steps. It looked toward the truck showing red eyeshine well above a roadside sign, then stepped to the ditch edge, jumped the ditch, and ran through tall thorny plants with arms raised before disappearing toward a woodline. The witness later returned, found a deep large foot track at the landing spot, and estimated the eyes at about eight feet high.

The witness was walking trails near small ponds by a parking lot and found a single bare footprint in mud at the edge of the smallest pond. The print looked fairly fresh despite recent near-freezing night temperatures and had a flat sole with even toes. The witness photographed the print and reported it without interpreting what made it.

The witness was deer hunting with his brother when he saw a very large figure standing by a tree about 300 yards away through his scope. He first thought it was a person in a ghillie suit but decided it was too large to be a man. His brother later found very long footprints in dust where it stood, and they heard strange vocal sounds that day.

In 1976 while stationed at a military installation, the witness was sent to search along the river for a runaway dependent. In fresh snow in heavy cover the party found very large footprints, which the witness and another MP followed a short distance. They stopped after encountering a fresh-garbage-like stench and did not report the prints officially for fear of career repercussions.

While throwing a football alone at night, the witness noticed a small head with pointed ears peeking from behind tall hedge bushes and threw the ball toward it after it repeatedly ducked. Later that same night while sleeping near a low bedroom window, a much larger hairy face appeared at the glass, made eye contact, shifted its eyes, wrinkled its brow and opened a wide mouth showing pointed teeth. The witness fled to a parent's room while heavy pacing was felt and heard around the house, then police were called but found nothing. The next morning the witness found large prints around windows and garden, recalled repeated early-morning howls, a growl with a branch breaking, grunting in the basement and a violently shaking backyard tree.

The witness, then a child living with a parent, repeatedly heard something going through trash cans without seeing an animal. One summer day while checking a newly planted flower bed, the witness found barefoot-like footprints in the soil and wondered if someone was looking in windows at night.

While having a snowball fight on a snow day, the witness and a friend entered the friend's backyard and found large barefoot-like prints in deep snow. They followed the prints to a fence where one print was on each side, as if something had stepped over in stride, then to a bush with a hollow hiding spot.
