The witness was six and sharing a room with his brother when they heard a loud bang and grunt outside. They did not look out until later in the day. Outside they found huge bare footprints in the snow and a deep dent caved into the frozen above-ground pool, which his father dismissed.

After seeing deer flush from a steep hollow, the guest climbed to a small creek bed and found toe prints, partial prints, and five to six tracks. One clear print in mud was marked, revisited two days later, photographed and cast. It measured about 13 inches long and seven inches wide with spread toes.

On a weekend camping trip, the guest and his friend heard a fawn-like distress sound that seemed to approach. The friend ran toward it with a light while the guest followed behind. The friend saw a tall grayish-silver upright figure move between trees and dart away. Next morning they found a snapped trip line, a missing bell, and a large human-like track looking toward them.
