The next morning the witness noticed large footprints in fresh snow that led from the woods around the side of the house to the high front windows. A relative went outside and noted the prints were much larger than his own feet but dismissed them as boots.

On a muddy road the witness smelled a strong odor and found a single large bare five-toed footprint, then noticed a dark hairy biped 50 to 80 yards away across a stream that walked gracefully into the treeline in a few seconds. They found freshly matted grass and a human-like bare footprint with five toes in dried mud. The reporter did not see the source, but the companion reportedly saw something about seven feet tall, after which both fled to the driveway.

In 1977 the witness and his family were camped in the Utah mountains a couple days before hunting season. While scouting with his wife in the afternoon, a reddish-brown creature about 7 to 8 feet tall stepped out about 20 yards away, watched them for about 10 seconds, and was gone when they looked again. That night after snowfall the witness heard something moving around the tent, and the next morning huge tracks were found circling the tent.

As a young child, the witness was helping a relative with weed clearing in a bean field while another relative operated harvesting machinery. They found a line of very large human-like footprints with an unusually long stride leading toward the house and showed them to the other relative. Five people fishing in a remote creek area found about half a dozen very large footprints that appeared to be about a week old. The tracks ran from the creek across sandy soil toward rocky brush and were described as about 17 inches long and 10 inches wide. Casts were later made from the tracks and the find was reported in newspapers.
