Homestead explorer has possible daytime sighting, near Dexter
Two people cut through storm-fallen trees into an old logging unit to look for an old homestead. From a small rise one of them spotted a huge person-like outline across the drainage about 200 yards away. The figure sidestepped, stared toward them for one to two minutes, then disappeared after they briefly looked away.
Five men hear tree knocks, and begin exchange of vocalizations and taps while on an expedition near Estacada
A group of five hiked an old closed ridge road around midnight under moonlight. After the leader produced knocks, responsive knocking came from timber about 50 feet away where a shadowy figure was seen, and the leader exchanged sounds with it. As the group hiked back to their cars they were flanked with glowing eyes, vocalizations and rustling.
Close encounter scares hunters off their campsite east of Sweet Home
While camping overnight for an archery hunt, a witness and a relative reported hearing mumbling vocalizations and footsteps around their tent for hours. The relative reported seeing a large hand press the tent wall, and both later reported seeing large upright figures near the truck and treeline, one illuminated by flashlight. After the figures continued circling the camp, the two packed the tent without breaking it down and drove away around 4 a.m.

The witness took his family camping on the eastern shore of Cougar Reservoir. In the middle of the night something large approached on two feet from a hill, and he placed himself between it and his family while his partner moved the children to the vehicle. He fired warning shots, experienced distorted hearing and an intrusive thought, then saw a very tall wide black figure stop at the wood line about 12 feet away before he backed to the vehicle and left.

In spring while his family played on an icy pool near waterfalls past Blue Pool, the guest heard a large branch break about 50 feet into the woods. He saw a light-brown vertical silhouette that walked toward the highway. He ran to get ahead of it but found nothing and returned to his family.
Possible sighting at night by a family on Hwy. 140E near Bonanza
The witness was driving home at night with three children when headlights revealed an upright figure crossing the highway ahead. The figure crossed two lanes in two long strides and disappeared into roadside trees despite the witness slowing to look. The witness and two of the children reported seeing the same figure and could offer no other explanation for its height and stride.

On Mother's Day 2009 under bright moonlight, the guest's group of five smelled a foul odor and watched a black mass on all fours swaying 60 yards away. It went behind trees and then stood up, showing arms, shoulders and head silhouetted with shoulder sheen before walking gracefully away. Laser measurement later put the distance at 63 yards with 19-inch weathered prints, suggesting about 9.5 feet tall.

The witness reports being awakened at home around 2:30 a.m. by a motion-sensor light and noticing a musky odor. Looking out the window, the witness saw a large dark figure walking on two legs toward the trees and into shadows. The figure appeared tall relative to a trailer, leading the witness to wonder if it might be a Bigfoot.

The witness was inside the home at night when excited barking from local dogs caused a look out a window. A large hairy biped was seen backlit by an approaching car's headlights as it ran upright across the road about 130 feet away, and the car slowed as if its occupants also saw it. The witness then went outside to bring in a dog, noticed a bad odor, and later searches found no footprints.
Two hikers both hear strange sounds in a creek culvert, investigate to see two ape-like creatures sitting at far end of culvert
At sunset the witness and a companion were hiking along a creek when they heard singing coming from a culvert. They approached and looked through the culvert and saw the silhouettes of two ape-like creatures with glowing eyes crouched at the far end, swaying and humming. The witnesses left quickly so as not to disturb them.

Around 3 a.m. the witness claims a large animal walked through the group's camp from dense cover while everyone listened. The witness deliberately stayed quiet to avoid provoking it. Later the campers compared notes and one said he had seen a human-like silhouette at the time they all heard the animal.
Boy sees large biped crossing road behind school bus
The witness was waiting for the morning bus in foggy, dim light when a large dark figure emerged from behind the approaching bus. The figure ran quickly across an open sagebrush valley toward ponderosa trees and the nearby forest, disappearing behind houses. The witness noted the speed and lack of any trail, and later found only faint ground marks.

The witness and several friends drove to the top of a desert butte late at night to continue partying. A silent light approached, hovered overhead, and shined a bright spotlight on the group, followed by several orange lights rising from the valley floor into the sky. While driving down, three of them saw a huge bipedal shape cross the road and followed it on foot, getting close enough to hear it breathing before it left silently. At sunrise the two who remained saw several tall slender gray-haired humanoids with yellow eyes peeking from cover and felt they were being escorted off the land.

The guest, an Army combat engineer, was riding in a convoy down from a demolition site in Oregon timberland when he looked toward a recently blasted quarry. He saw three large, jet-black, hair-covered bipeds standing in the open, with broad shoulders, no visible neck, and very long arms. He watched them for about 25 seconds until the convoy turned a corner and lost sight.

Four youths went hunting past the guest's camp on a logged area near Estacada. After feeling uneasy in young fir trees and hearing a loud snap near a brush pile, they noticed something pacing them in brush. About 100 yards from the paved road they saw the head and shoulders of a seven-foot dark silhouette between poplar trees at sunset; it shifted its weight, confirming it was solid, and they retreated to the road.
Scream in Oregon (1980)
In May 1980 [name withheld] and a friend skied at night up the closed Highway 242 toward Middle Sister to claim the season's first summit entry. They were followed for hours by something screaming, breathing heavily, breaking branches and circling on two legs, forcing them to shelter in a road grader. After it left they found large human-like tracks with toes crossing a creek and in the woods, then abandoned the climb and skied out.
Camper has night sighting near Crater Lake
The witness was camping with relatives south of Crater Lake and sleeping alone in a tent at night. While lying in a sleeping bag, the witness heard footsteps approach from the wooded side and saw a human-like outline shadowed in a distant campfire glow. The figure bumped the corner of the tent, shaking it, paused as if staring, then moved toward the front where it could no longer be heard on pavement.
Lady walking with dog has lengthy, close nighttime encounter
Late at night a witness walking with a dog watched a tall silhouetted figure approach along a ridge. The dog ran ahead then retreated in distress, while the figure paused, crouched, approached closer, then sprinted to cover. Later from concealment it gave two loud screams, and next morning the witness found a line of large forefoot prints.
College students get approached by sasquatch and shoot at it
Four college geology students camping at night heard howling from a canyon and then saw the outline of a huge bipedal animal on the road in moon and campfire light. When the animal approached, one student fired a rifle several times, after which it crossed the road and moved noisily up the opposite slope through brush. A responding deputy examined the area the next day and reported indistinct impressions, small pushed-over trees and long uphill strides, but no blood or fur.
Early evening sighting in Canyon City
At age six the witness was outside with a relative in late summer 1976 in Canyon City and watched a hair-covered figure standing on a hill across the road backlit by the setting sun for about a minute. The figure then turned and walked away out of sight. The witness ran inside to tell family, and parents later found large footprints on the hill.
