The witness and a companion were night fishing for bass around an island. They heard several loud splashes from rocks hitting near the boat and then saw a huge upright figure in shadows on the ridge that growled. The figure tore a large limb from a pine and carried it down toward them as they motored away, and they returned at daylight to examine and measure the limb.

Late at night in bright moonlight the witness took his large dog out and noticed neighboring dogs go silent and his own dog freeze with raised hair. He then saw a wide dark silhouette at close range that instantly crashed through dense brush and covered about one hundred yards in five steps.

In darkness before dawn, a hunter walking toward a deer stand encountered a very tall bipedal silhouette about 45-50 feet away at a field edge. The figure turned and ran quietly into the treeline within about 10-15 seconds before a flashlight or shotgun could be used. The witness then went to the stand and called a parent about the sighting.
Possible early morning encounter by hunters in the Green Swamp
Two people were sitting around a campfire in early-morning darkness when they heard heavy footsteps approaching through the woods. A creature passed through the campsite toward the river, then ran back and into the woods behind the camp, seen only as a fire-lit silhouette. After hunting from stands, they returned and found large five-toed footprints in sand that they felt were too large to be human.

The witness was tending a beach fire after midnight when he noticed a dark bipedal figure walking south along the waterline in full moonlight. He ran to intercept it but could not catch up as it moved very quickly toward the jetty, then turned to face the ocean, arched its back and appeared to look back at him before disappearing near the jetty shadows. No tracks were recoverable because high-tide waves covered the waterline.

While camping alone at night near a stream, the witness heard a deep growl and saw a crouched dark mass at the treeline, fired warning shots, then heard rocks repeatedly splashing in the stream for hours and heard deep oof sounds on a later approach. Near dawn a very tall hair-covered female-like figure stood by the tent and walked rapidly toward the witness despite additional warning shots, then ran away over granite and out of sight. The witness remained in place until daylight and then hiked out.

The witness stopped on the dam at Stumpy Meadows after fishing and driving back. While looking into trees about 40 yards away, the witness watched a pair of large red glowing eyes for about two minutes, then saw an upright outline step sideways behind a tree. A second, shorter set of red glowing eyes and a smaller stocky figure were then seen nearby.

Three people parked near a bend in a road to look at the spot of an earlier sighting. They watched a large silhouette leaning against a tree that slowly raised an arm toward its face and later disappeared, while a smaller fur-covered figure was seen walking in the open and then running when approached on foot. The larger figure was also reported to turn its head to watch a passing truck.

The witness reports being awakened at home around 2:30 a.m. by a motion-sensor light and noticing a musky odor. Looking out the window, the witness saw a large dark figure walking on two legs toward the trees and into shadows. The figure appeared tall relative to a trailer, leading the witness to wonder if it might be a Bigfoot.

The witness was family camping in the Big Cypress area when she noticed a tall black shape in the woods that vanished minutes later. Around 4 a.m. she awoke to a distant wailing sound with heavy breathing that approached the campsite, passed by the tents and left down a trail, waking several companions who also heard it. In the morning the group followed the direction of travel and found large wide footprints with a four-toe appearance in a sandy trail that had not been there the day before.

The witness was walking home at night near a creek when something began throwing sticks and rocks and following her. The throwing reportedly paused when cars passed. She ran to a bridge where the pursuer entered bushes but continued throwing objects, while she heard footsteps, smelled a strong bad odor, and glimpsed only a large dark figure. Footprints were reportedly found in sand the next day.

While cleaning a construction office trailer around midnight, the wife stepped outside and saw a tall hair-covered figure watching from behind a tree about 25 feet away. She stared for a couple minutes as it leaned to look around the tree, then ran inside. The couple checked the area with headlights, saw nothing, waited in the dark, and heard whistling and rustling before leaving. In daylight the next day they found nothing that explained the figure.

The witness was driving home from work late at night when headlights caught glowing eyes beside the road. Looking in the rearview mirror, she saw a very large, thick-limbed silhouette standing in the road behind her under bright moonlight. She stopped to watch as the upright, slightly bent figure crossed the road and disappeared into trees on the other side.

Shortly after arriving at a secluded cabin, the 17-year-old witness and his best friend took a paddle boat onto the five-acre pond without lights. Near a dark cove they approached a huge dark figure on the shore. As they realized it had broad shoulders and a head with no neck, it lifted its leg and caused a huge splash, and they paddled frantically back to the dock.

They spent two to three hours pursuing what they thought was an opposing-force scout wearing a ghillie suit. When the figure stood from a crouch it appeared at least nine feet tall and moved away silently with smooth, non-human locomotion.

Late at night the witness went to check on children sleeping in a bedroom that opens onto a porch against a wooded hillside. A motion light came on and the witness saw a tall, dark, shaggy creature standing on two legs at the window, partly obscured by a blind. The figure stood briefly, then left toward the woods. The next morning the witness found slide marks in mud on the hillside but no clear footprints.

The witness was driving late at night and stopped to turn around when the car stalled. While trying to restart it, the witness noticed a large man-like figure standing at the roadside beyond the headlights. When the car started, the figure turned and strode into the timber with striding legs and swinging arms, and the witness left immediately feeling terrified.

Late on a Thanksgiving night in 2004, the witness and his mother were washing dishes when an extremely loud impact shook the side of the house near the woods. The witness stepped into an adjacent dark room and saw a very large upright shadow moving quickly away from the house toward the woods. His mother said the next morning she had felt watched for hours, and no footprints were found because the ground was frozen.

After a storm knocked out power, the witness walked a powerline to check for damage and then headed back toward the house. They noticed blinking eye-like lights high off the ground, smelled a musky odor, and made out a large bulky dark shape in weak flashlight light before running to the house. A short time later the witness returned with a brighter light and companions, saw the blinking eyes again in woods beside the house, then heard movement and a throaty howl as it left.
