Eight foot plus figure photographed peering into couple's RV near Red River
Early one morning while preparing to leave a campground, a couple noticed a large figure standing outside their trailer's bedroom window peering in. The privacy glass showed only a shadowy chest, head and part of an arm, which the companion photographed. When the witness opened a distant door and turned on a light, the figure was gone but quick footsteps were heard leaving down a gravel road. After sunrise they found large footprint-like impressions in the gravel near the trailer.

The witness hiked into the national forest in late afternoon to photograph woods and wildlife and waited near a utility clearing. After briefly seeing a juvenile bear emerge and retreat, the witness turned and noticed a large upright human-like shape close by in thick brush. A tree trunk snapped and fell toward the witness, who fled to the car and drove away, later concluding the shape might have been a Sasquatch.

The witness was driving east in the morning when a large dark silhouette walked across the road in four long strides and then vanished. Both sides of the road were thick woods with no house or mailbox present. The witness returned that afternoon to search the spot but found no trace.

On Mother's Day 2009 under bright moonlight, the guest's group of five smelled a foul odor and watched a black mass on all fours swaying 60 yards away. It went behind trees and then stood up, showing arms, shoulders and head silhouetted with shoulder sheen before walking gracefully away. Laser measurement later put the distance at 63 yards with 19-inch weathered prints, suggesting about 9.5 feet tall.

The witness and her father were walking back to the trailhead parking area at night when the father noticed eyeshine in the trees to the side of the trail about 30-40 feet away. With headlamps on, they both observed shining eyes and the outline of a rounded head that turned to look at them before they turned their lights off. The figure then walked away downhill with heavy deliberate bipedal steps, paused, and remained nearby while the witness spoke softly before they left quietly. After returning home they photographed smudge marks on their vehicle that had not been noticed earlier.
Couple describes incidents at two different campgrounds in Boise National Forest
On November 1, 2009, the witness and his wife were camping in a public campground late in the evening. In moonlight they noticed a large, broad, dark shape about six feet tall moving on two legs among the trees near camp, which appeared to stop, look toward them, and sway. With no other campers present, the couple became spooked, packed up, and left.

The witness was walking at night from a camper toward town when a loud fall-like noise occurred ahead in the road. A shadowy fur-covered biped stood up about 30 feet away and walked calmly across the road before disappearing into vegetation. Three service members were on overnight guard duty at a wooded bivouac during a 2008 training exercise. The main witness looked up from a seated position and saw a large heavily built human-like figure silhouetted in the trees above about 30 feet away, holding trees with long outstretched arms. He blinked to check his vision, watched it move silently between trees, then it vanished. In the morning the two companions posted apart independently said they had seen something in the trees, and the three concluded they had seen the same figure circling their position.

The witness described living at a wooded property for about a year with repeated nighttime disturbances. On one occasion in heavy fog the witness saw a large dark bipedal shape, later estimated at about seven feet tall and very muscular. Around midnight the witness was with two friends in a small forest near the house when they heard a large branch snap. The witness saw a tall outline about 15 to 20 feet away leaning with one arm against a tree and staring, then it turned and walked toward the road while the witness ran. Companions did not see the figure, and the next day the witness found fresh paths and broken and uprooted trees in the area.

On the night after an initial nighttime vocalization, the witness looked out a bedroom window around 1 a.m. after dogs growled and saw a very tall, hairy human-like creature standing 15 to 20 feet away in moonlight, visible from the midsection up. The witness made a cat-fight sound and the creature turned and walked away quickly toward the mountainous area behind the property. No odor was noted and a later check found no tracks.

The witness was hiking a mountain trail with three children who had run ahead. He noticed a large upright hairy figure moving behind the treeline about 50 to 100 yards away, watching it for less than a minute as it moved through brush and woods. The occupants of a pickup became lost on logging roads late at night and stopped after the reporter noticed huge glowing eyes ahead. The reporter stared at the eyes and then made out a large black bulky form with massive forearms that stayed motionless in the headlights. The form then moved rapidly up a brushy hillside as the group drove away frightened.

The witness was awake in a ground-floor bedroom late at night when she heard heavy breathing and something striking the outside wall. A large dark silhouette appeared at the closed bedroom window, swaying as if trying to see inside, and remained for several minutes despite the TV volume being raised. The next morning she and her daughter found large five-toed footprints in snow by the walkway.
