The witness woke at night filled with fear and saw light blocked at the bedroom window as if a huge mountain-like mass stood outside. He hid under the sheets, then went toward his parents' room before returning to find nothing there. He kept the experience to himself at the time.

A year before Minnesota the guide and a companion got lost looking for a waterfall and at twilight saw a very large upright figure stomping in a creek below the trail. They ran to camp and heard popping branch breaks all around through the night and slept in the vehicle. In the morning the bear hang had been untied and lowered and only fresh produce was missing.

The witness and a friend walked back to his house late at night in winter. They heard heavy footsteps that stopped when they stopped. Looking back in full moonlight, he saw the silhouettes of two large figures about 100 yards behind them.

One night he saw three side-by-side shapes, two about six to seven feet and one much larger. He also found a 14-inch track with a huge big toe and a 17-inch wet dew footprint by his deck.

As children playing behind a newly placed trailer in the evening, the witness and his two brothers heard a loud scream and saw a black hairy creature in a nearby tree. The branch broke and the creature fell about 12 to 15 feet, landing with barely bent legs before walking toward them. The children fled to the trailer, and two hid in an old freezer chest where the creature huffed at them through the lid before walking away.

The witness was bow hunting with a friend on private land they had used for years. While hiding beside a trail to play a prank, he grunted like a deer at an approaching figure he assumed was his friend. The figure stopped, stared directly at him, then crashed away through extremely thick briars and vines, and the real friend arrived moments later from a different direction.

While driving out they saw high wide eyeshine and an outline that leapt from a tree. A crouched hairy shape then rose screaming and tore at trees, and the witness fired his shotgun before all three fled in the truck and never returned.

During a holiday weekend party at the cabin, a couple stood by a pickup near the wooded hill and heard stick breaks and shuffling approach close. They then heard a growl and the man thought he saw a very large person-like outline in the brush. He told his companion to walk to the cabin without running or looking back.

The witness was night driving with his girlfriend through fog when he saw two jet-black figures standing in a marshy field off the road. The larger figure had very wide shoulders with its head set low, and it turned its upper body toward the smaller one as they passed. He said nothing at the time and later returned in daylight and found no stumps, signs, or poles that could explain them.

In cold pouring rain near midnight, the witness's dog barked at the brush line. Using a low-cost thermal imager, they observed a very tall, large heat signature peeking from behind a tree. Stills and video were recorded and appeared larger than humans placed there for comparison.

Around 2 a.m. a loud slap, a mimicked crow call with a deep gurgly ending, and bipedal footsteps woke the witness. A massive wide-shouldered silhouette with a small-seeming head was seen swaying behind the light tent fabric, then moved around the tent for hours, charged at one point, and left near first light.

As a young child playing in a field, the witness tripped and fell near a large brush pile. Looking up with the sun behind it, he saw a very tall hairy figure standing behind the pile looking down. His dog fled to the house, he ran after it, and when he looked back the figure was gone.

During a crowded evening party, the teenage witness was sent to fetch beer from cars parked in the dark driveway. He saw reflective eyes and a large squatting silhouette with wide-set eyes, heavy shoulders and knuckles on the ground, which he concluded was not the known local bear. He stalled, slipped into the light, ran inside for a shotgun, but the figure left before his father turned on the lights.

Residents at a property in the Duval wetland crossing area reported a seven-foot-tall figure moving through their property backlit by moonlight. It was seen clearly rather than as a vague distant shape.

The figure appeared to change positions between flashes. He loaded a gun, stayed on the couch, and found no tracks in the morning because rain had washed the ground.
