As an adult, the witness and her son went to the barn about 10 at night to find paperwork. A huge dark figure entered the other stall door, blocking it and breathing audibly. They backed out to the house, and the thing then burst out and crashed through the woods loudly enough for a neighbor to hear.

As a child, the guest was woken when his grandmother said a man was staring through her high bedroom window. The guest and his father went outside with a gun and saw a very tall slender black silhouette with long arms standing at the end of the trailer by a drop into woods. The father shouted and fired into the air; the figure turned and went down the hill. The grandmother said she heard heavy breathing and saw hands and large eyes at the window.

A young couple reported that late at night something dark blocked their bright porch light while looking in the front window and then manipulated the front doorknob. The young woman fled to tell her partner, who lit and threw a firecracker outside. The visitors said they heard the intruder run away.

Two companions driving up toward the mountain with windows down saw a dark silhouette step out on the driver's side. As they passed, something screamed at them louder than a human and unlike a bear. They stopped and looked back but could not see into the foliage.

The guest reports seeing a small creature in a squat on the edge of her roof at night while walking inside from the gazebo. She describes a triangular upper body with no visible neck and a rounded head, holding the roof edge motionless. She wondered if it was looking into the skylight and was deeply unsettled.

Alone up a river the witness followed a fresh game trail past a foul-smelling marked tree, then heard a loud scream below and movement above in thick jungle. He retreated into the creek as three creatures surrounded him, talking with clicks, showing dog-like eyeshine, and moving as shadows. In the last light one four-and-a-half to five-foot silhouette with long arms squatted at the water's edge staring before bolting when a laser pointer hit it, and he floated downstream to camp.

On a later night visit to the south fence line the group yelled and used a spotlight down a clearing. At the edge of the light they saw a tall dark shape run from one side of woods to the other, confirmed by two occupants. Both the witness and a companion then felt briefly dizzy and lightheaded, so they left.

During the period caring for her grandmother, the Kentucky guest reports repeated black shadow figures inside and outside the house that frightened her children. She specifically woke to see a very tall black figure standing beside her bed that she could not explain as a normal shadow.

Within about a week of the wood knocks, the spouse called the witness home from nearby work after seeing a tall man-like shape outside the kitchen window staring in. When the spouse glanced down and back up, it was gone. A later trail camera set for an intruder captured nothing.

On a later occasion in fog, the daughter was in the run-in behind the house and saw silhouettes of creatures moving back and forth. The same strange noise was heard. The speaker states the two fog episodes were about a year apart.

The guest says during a night DNA-study camp he did call blasts and got tapping responses from cover about fifteen feet away. He and a teammate followed movement along a boggy stream and bridge. A large furry silhouette mimicked his steps and approached to about seven feet, showing facial highlights in moonlight. Next day they found a grass impression larger than his size-sixteen shoe.
