Sasquatch sighting in Florida (1990)
The witness motored by airboat at night into an oak hammock to gig frogs and stopped for coffee. After hearing tearing vegetation, ground banging and a loud shrieking scream, large clods of mud were thrown at and onto the boat. Shining a headlamp, the witness saw a huge brown-haired biped about 25 to 30 feet away pumping its arms in an aggressive display, then started the boat and fled to the middle of a nearby lake until daylight and has avoided the spot since.
Scream in Washington (1990)
A coworker and his father-in-law stopped on a forest road in Washington. They watched an orange ball bobbing up out of the trees, then a tremendously loud voice from the forest shook their truck and sent them fleeing. Years later the coworker heard purported Sasquatch chatter tapes and felt it matched the scream.
Loud low moan then rose quickly to a high pitched scream heard
The witness and a cousin were resting against a tree while hunting when they heard a loud moan rising to a prolonged scream from several hundred yards away. A few minutes later they heard a much louder similar scream that sounded immediately behind the tree. They did not see anything, heard something move away through brush, then left for the logging road where other hunters had heard nothing.

Two people hunting deer near a creek crossing watched a shape first mistaken for a stump move, crouch, stand upright and stretch. The witness observed through a rifle scope an apelike face and hair-covered body moving along the creek for about ten minutes. As they backed away, a growl and a single loud scream were heard from its direction before it ran and leapt across the creek, after which the pair left.
Elk hunters hear loud screams in James Canyon
In October 1989 the witness and a companion were elk hunting in James Canyon near Fairview, Utah, sitting under trees waiting for sunrise. They heard an extremely loud penetrating scream lasting about 10 seconds at a time and repeating for about two minutes. They did not see the source and did not pursue it, but later felt it matched a recording known as the Ohio scream.

While glassing the brush-covered mountainside in gray light, he heard a very loud booming scream from several hundred yards upslope that he compared to a woman screaming. The witness was walking a dog late at night on a road next to woods when the dog stopped, stared toward the mountain, and growled. About 30 seconds later the witness heard a loud howl/scream lasting up to about 20 seconds that seemed to come from partway up the mountain, after which neighborhood dogs began barking. The witness and dog returned home, and a check of the area the next morning found no tracks.

The witness and a companion were camping overnight in a tent near a river when, about 15 minutes after turning in, they heard an extremely loud primal scream from very close range. The witness estimated the sound came from several feet off the ground and within a few dozen yards and remained in the tent out of fear. No visual contact or physical traces were reported.

A British businesswoman on a work trip to California spent a Saturday afternoon photographing sea otters on a beach south of Carmel. She watched six large hairy bipedal creatures enter the cove, with the largest male pulling seaweed from the water for the females to chew and rub on themselves. When a camera part clattered on rocks the male charged, argued vocally with a female, then screamed, slammed its fists and urinated before the witness blacked out. She later woke bruised near her car with her jacket pulled over her head and reported the incident to hotel staff and police, who told her she had seen bears.

Two companions were shooting at targets in a logged area and started walking back toward a house at dusk. They heard distant howls that grew closer, then screams and crashing as something rushed toward them. One looked back while crossing a fence and saw a large hairy stocky creature chasing them, then they reached the house where it threw objects and damaged trash cans, fencing and a window, with a strong odor noted.

They later found uprooted small trees, additional tracks in camp, hair on fencing, and a woody debris structure, and heard screaming and a howl that prompted a relative to leave camp.

Exhausted, they slept in the tent and forgot the incident until days later when they read a newspaper account of a close-range sighting reported the same day a few miles away.

The witness and family were camped in a mountain valley for deer season when loud screams were heard at night over four nights, seeming to come closer each night until only a few hundred feet away. The sound was described as a mix of a woman screaming and a mountain lion roar. The father and uncle later reported finding a footprint on a road that was larger than the uncle's foot. The family left camp the next day.

The witness spent several hours alone in a hayfield shooting groundhogs while hearing intermittent crashing and twig snaps from adjacent brush. At dusk after standing to retrieve game, the nearby brush erupted with loud crashing and a loud scream, and the witness shouted back reflexively. The witness then walked toward the barn with rifle ready while snapping sounds followed in the brush until fading near the barn.
