The witness was hunting hogs from a tree stand at sunrise when he watched a large hairy biped stalk hogs from tree to tree. The animal charged on all fours, killed a hog with blows, then carried it off while exchanging whooping calls with another unseen individual. It paused to stare at the witness before leaving. A hunting partner nearby heard the attack scream and whoops.

Late at night a resident went onto the porch after the outside dog became highly agitated and heard continuous loud shrieking screams, which the spouse also heard. The next morning footprints were found in deep snow leading across a field toward the forest with long strides, and a second set was reported to join the first in the woods. He heard crunching beside the shack, saw a shadow move toward the door, and something pulled on the door. After he shouted, he heard a terrifying screaming howl and the pulling intensified, so he heated a poker as a threat until it went quiet, then ran to his car where he remained the rest of the night.

While stopped with the passenger window open, the witness heard an extremely loud scream and then saw a tall, dark-haired, muscular creature a few feet from the car. The creature took a couple of large steps toward the redwoods, went around a tree, and disappeared into dense brush. The encounter lasted only a few seconds and left the witness badly shaken.

A similar sound answered from across a cove to the west and repeated many times, growing louder before stopping. The first scream was estimated about 50 yards away, with subsequent screams sounding progressively farther at about 100 and 200 yards and minutes apart. The witness described the sound as human-like but guttural with bass, offensive or warning in character, and unlike known wildlife. After looking around and firing rocks with a slingshot, they heard the final, more distant scream.

Just after sunset he heard three loud scream-like vocalizations, after which all other ambient sounds went silent for several minutes before resuming. A daughter who was present heard the final vocalization. The witness was unable to determine the distance or direction of the sounds and concluded they were made by a Sasquatch.
