On the first night of an October 2004 expedition, four participants walked a stretch of mountain road making wood knocks. They heard deep grunting sounds from the woods, then later heard two loud scream-like vocalizations from different sides of the road, one a few hundred yards away and one within about 50 yards. They stated the screams started as a low moan and rose to a high-pitched screech and were unlike any known local animal sounds.

The witness reports a very loud simultaneous whistle, scream and growl coming from about 70 feet across the road from the cabin. The sound was heard by the witness and five other people and was described as unlike any known animal. Months later the witness drove to a bridge late at night to fish. In complete darkness he heard sounds like a vehicle and approaching steps, felt the bridge shake from heavy impacts, heard a branch move and a brief powerful scream, and nearly shot a neighbor who rode up on a bicycle. He realized the neighbor had not made the sounds and drove home without returning to the woods.

The witness hid, then later saw the figure walking away into the dark carrying something. A sour body odor was noticed during the presence, and deer jerky hanging on the front porch was missing the next morning.

The witness was walking with a dog on a gravel road through woods when she heard repeated banging like something striking a tree. Two rocks were then thrown from the woods and narrowly missed her as she hurried away. Near a bend in the road she heard a loud low growl followed by a scream and fled running. She later learned a family member had been home the whole time and days later saw a large oddly shaped footprint near the roadside.

Three family members were night-fishing from a riverbank lit by a lantern when large objects began splashing into the water upstream, landing progressively closer over about 12 to 15 minutes. They never saw the objects or the thrower and heard no movement despite listening and sweeping with a search light. They had earlier heard distant high-pitched screams, and after a final close splash threw spray onto the bank they left on ATVs. The account was submitted by a coworker of one witness, not by a witness directly.

Near a recently fallen tree he encountered three dogs, one of which acted aggressively, then heard an extremely loud, powerful vocalization he could feel, saw riverside vegetation including a small tree whip and break, and had a stick splash down in front of him though no person was visible. He left the creek frightened.

From the campsite area the witness heard two loud howl-like vocalizations coming from across the lake about a mile away. The witness ran toward the lakeshore while listening but saw nothing. Throughout spring 2004 the witness and several neighbors repeatedly heard what sounded like a bipedal creature walking through woods at night, often while area dogs barked intensely. In May the witness heard a loud distant scream described as a classic Bigfoot scream. The disturbances stopped abruptly in July.
