The pair left most gear behind, drove home, and returned the next morning to recover equipment and examine the broken tree.

On his last night of work in 2010, the guest parked at his rented room on his boss's wooded property around 1 a.m. Birds erupted, then a loud rising howl-scream vibrated his car and silenced frogs and birds. When they shone a flashlight toward shore they saw a large dark human-shaped figure with red glowing eyes partly obscured by vegetation, then yelled and banged oars before retreating to a safer distance and hearing a loud scream or roar as they loaded the boat and left.

A solo camper spent the night on a plateau west of Bragg Creek during rain and thunderstorms. Through the night the camper heard log-banging, close movement, breathing, branch breaking, a tarp strike, a grunt, a boulder throw and a tree being pushed over, and glimpsed an upright figure walking downhill toward a creek. At dawn the camper heard loud bird-like calls from multiple directions, and found large grass impressions the next morning.

The witness and a companion were fishing at night when they heard knocking or banging sounds from trees. Shortly afterward rocks landed and bounced on the ground and road behind them, apparently thrown from a wooded area leading up a hill. They did not see the source, packed their gear, and left as the rock throwing stopped.
