On the last night out, the pair sat back-to-back on a man-made ridge and made knocks, howls and other calls. Responses approached, then stopped, followed by heavy bipedal steps and rocks thrown from the front on both sides. They threw rocks back for many minutes until a rock came from the direction they had entered, making the guest conclude they were surrounded.

The witness and a companion were fishing at night under a river bridge when they found a fresh human-like track in the mud. They then heard loud roars ending in screams, heavy movement and thudding from across the river, had rocks thrown toward them, and heard splashing and grunting as they left. At the truck they found river mud spattered on the vehicle with a strong foul odor.

An older couple was awakened around 1 a.m. by a crash in the kitchen with broken glass and window. The homeowner went to the porch and a tall hairy figure swiped at him, barely missing. It stared while weaving side to side, then walked across the road into a ditch and woods. Responding officers found a softball-sized rock but no usable tracks on hard ground.

Two relatives were bass fishing from a small boat when rocks were thrown toward them. After beaching, one threw rocks back, the creature screamed, stepped out, charged and struck one man hard enough to break ribs and puncture a lung, then threw a log that cut his chin. It reappeared swaying and clicking, then leapt a great distance and ran off on all fours. Authorities and later visitors called it a bear and told them to leave it alone.

Later parked in a hidden pull-off, they heard impacts on the car, saw shifting shadows, and then a rock cracked the window. After trouble starting the car, they drove out.

Years later the same witness was riding in a car at night with two friends toward a coastal campground. She saw a large dark figure standing on a steep slope beside the road. A grapefruit-sized rock struck the roof of the car and dented it, and the group continued driving.

The following night the same four men hiked a wooded ridge in the dark. A rock was thrown from their flank and the guest saw a heat signature in the trees on thermal. From a flat rock they then recorded a figure between trees that appeared to throw, bounce between trunks, drop below the ridge and peek around a tree trunk from a prone position.

The guest and a group left an empty tent with a recorder inside on a ridge in Oklahoma. After about 30 silent minutes the recording captured movement, snapping twigs and small pebbles hitting or missing the tent. Then something was heard running hard toward and right past the tent.

The witness joined a group of about eight on a three-night expedition in southeastern Oklahoma to let the beings come to them. The group heard grunting, whistling, chatter, footsteps and close tree-breaking, had pebbles and a rock thrown, and saw large upright black shadow figures with night vision and naked eyes. One figure was seen behind a truck and one coworker was startled by movement in brush, with no one seriously hurt.

The guest's Special Forces friend said his 12-man team was called to hunt an aggressive animal near Fort Lewis. They tracked through the Mount Hood area, cornered one of several animals, shot it, and removed it by helicopter. He described it as enormous, muscular, human-featured, fast, and known to throw boulders and use sticks.
