Around 11:30 at night the witness rounded an S-curve and saw a tall cinnamon-colored hairy figure within 12 feet. It crossed a lane-and-a-half county road on two legs in about three steps from cornfield to timber. He first thought bear, then realized it stayed upright, stood about eight feet tall, with gray skin on the face and hands and wispy hair.

The witness and a coworker were driving home in separate vehicles in the dark when both swerved to avoid a tall headless black shape walking unnaturally in the road. They returned to the spot and found a very large dog-like animal lying across both lanes that lifted its head, growled deeply, stood up on two legs to eye level, stared, then dropped to a crouch and left toward a fenced ditch. A small wet mouse then stood between the two men cleaning itself and showed no fear when nudged, after which both left for home.

The witness was stopped at a rural intersection in daylight when she saw two tall, black, hair-covered bipeds cross the road ahead of her toward woods. They moved quickly in a stooped posture while swinging long arms and covered the road in several steps. She described them as solid black from head to toe with no clothing divisions and somewhat taller than six feet.

Two occupants of a van were driving east after dropping off a passenger when a white furry figure crossed the road in front of them. The figure was described as walking upright from woods on one side to woods on the other and was glimpsed in the headlights. The occupants reportedly continued in silence for several minutes before speaking about what they had seen.

Two sisters driving home around 2 a.m. reported a very hairy bipedal creature walking in front of their Honda and touching the front of the vehicle. The creature looked directly at them and continued walking slowly with a sideways gait described as limping or injured, showing no fear. The witness estimated its height at about 5 foot 4.
Man recalls his observation of a creature crossing a road while hunting in the Morgan-Monroe State Forest
On the last day of deer season in November 1988 at dusk, the witness was in a parked car after hunting when a dark brown, husky, six-foot figure emerged from brush and walked quickly across the road without acknowledging the witness. The figure continued into woods down a steep hill and disappeared. The witness searched on foot with a flashlight and then by car, finding no other people or vehicles, and found no tracks when returning the next day.

The witness and their spouse were driving on the interstate at night when they saw a large creature cross the road ahead of them. The creature crossed three lanes in about four steps from left to right and was illuminated by oncoming traffic. By the time their car reached the crossing point, it was gone. Both occupants reported seeing it.

A mutual friend was at a boat ramp around one in the morning when he saw a bipedal creature walking toward him through a wood line and shallow overflow creek. The creature walked out of waist-deep water, up through a tree line, crossed the road and continued on.
Cryptid sighting in Indiana
While driving with family at night the witness encountered a massive black long-haired dog-like animal that jumped a tall fence, crossed the road, and stopped in headlights staring for several seconds before bolting into the woods. A short drive later the same animal shot across their driveway at high speed. The witness's mother called his father to come out with a gun, but nothing further was found that night.
