The witness was driving slowly at night after leaving a friend's cabin when a large hair-covered biped entered the road from the right. The witness braked to avoid hitting it and watched it take three steps across the road into the woods on the left without stopping or looking. The witness then sat stunned for a minute or more before driving on.

Close-range, multi-witness motorist sighting of a Bigfoot in Pachaug State Forest near Griswold
Two people driving east on a dirt forest road heard a loud ruckus in the woods and stopped. A tall, dark-brown upright creature ran across the road about 10 feet in front of their vehicle, crossing in two steps. It continued about 40 yards into the woods and disappeared within seconds.
