Traffic stopped as one shaggy dark-brown creature ran across the road, jumped guardrails and vanished, then a second similar creature crossed farther down the road in the same direction. She saw the first one's Neanderthal-like face, while other stopped drivers also watched and reacted.

Early one Saturday morning the witness drove with his dog to a remote wooded dirt-road area and stopped to let the dog out. Looking down an intersecting road he saw a large black wolf-like animal that then stood on its hind legs and took a couple balanced steps. Frightened, he grabbed the dog and drove away, watching the creature drop to all fours and run angrily across the road.

The witness was driving a van with a friend and two daughters through mountains in Tennessee at night. A tall hairy creature carrying a black trash bag stepped over a guardrail into the headlights and stood watching the van for 30 to 40 seconds. It then crossed the road in a few long steps, went over the far guardrail into the woods, leaving a putrid odor.

The witness was driving on a familiar back road when he saw a figure standing on the left he first took for a person at a mailbox. The figure turned and crossed the two-lane highway in three steps and disappeared on the right. He slowed, confirmed there were no mailboxes or people nearby, later revisited the spot and estimated the figure at about seven and a half feet with bright brown hair and a runner's build.

The witness was sitting on her patio at dusk when her dog growled and she heard loud footsteps. A tall upright creature stepped from behind a tree and stared at her from a short distance before four smaller individuals crossed the driveway on all fours and disappeared into the woods. She smelled strong body odor and later found only scuffs in the dry dirt.

He watched a very tall figure step out of riverside vegetation and cross the highway in about three steps without looking at traffic. It passed behind a tiny roadside chapel where its torso was visible above the roof, then continued through a cornfield toward a distant tree line while nearby drivers pulled over or swerved.

After the prior road encounter, while driving on a remote Kansas road early in the morning with dim headlights, the witness saw something cross the road very low to the ground. It moved like a pouncing cat but appeared to army-crawl on tiptoes and fingertips, which struck him as unnatural. He considered turning around to look closer but decided not to.

While driving to work in the early morning the witness saw heat lightning behind him and then a bright neon-blue flash revealing a large oval object in the clouds ahead. About 20 to 30 seconds later a tall thin wolf-like biped sprinted from a mowed field across the road in one stride. It leaped about 20 feet into a tree over a creek, spun, steadied itself with a hand, and stared at him as he passed with high beams on.

The witness was walking home from hunting with rabbits and an unloaded shotgun when a tall upright canine crossed the road in front of him at close range. It turned to snarl, dove over a barbed wire fence, dropped to all fours, and disappeared into tall grass. He took the long way home in shock and was frightened of the dark for months afterward.
