The larger disappeared into thick pines while the smaller repeatedly tried to run ahead and recross in front of the truck. The driver blocked it several times under headlights and spotlights until it left into the woods.

While driving a truck on a dark resurfaced road, the driver saw something come from between a house and barn and angle across the headlights. It moved extremely fast on two legs, cleared the road in about two steps, then stopped at the road edge. He saw only a wide bulky body with long straggly grayish-reddish hair and no eye shine, and kept driving.

Traffic stopped as one shaggy dark-brown creature ran across the road, jumped guardrails and vanished, then a second similar creature crossed farther down the road in the same direction. She saw the first one's Neanderthal-like face, while other stopped drivers also watched and reacted.

Early one Saturday morning the witness drove with his dog to a remote wooded dirt-road area and stopped to let the dog out. Looking down an intersecting road he saw a large black wolf-like animal that then stood on its hind legs and took a couple balanced steps. Frightened, he grabbed the dog and drove away, watching the creature drop to all fours and run angrily across the road.

The witness was driving a van with a friend and two daughters through mountains in Tennessee at night. A tall hairy creature carrying a black trash bag stepped over a guardrail into the headlights and stood watching the van for 30 to 40 seconds. It then crossed the road in a few long steps, went over the far guardrail into the woods, leaving a putrid odor.

The figure turned and crossed the two-lane highway in three steps and disappeared on the right. He slowed, confirmed there were no mailboxes or people nearby, later revisited the spot and estimated the figure at about seven and a half feet with bright brown hair and a runner's build.

A tall upright creature stepped from behind a tree and stared at her from a short distance before four smaller individuals crossed the driveway on all fours and disappeared into the woods.
