The witness was riding in a car north of Mt. Gilead around noon when an entity appeared about 200 feet ahead. It crossed the highway in two bounds within five to six seconds and headed toward railroad tracks, disappearing before the car reached the spot. The witness rode as a passenger in a car with three relatives on a back road after leaving the interstate. About 50 yards ahead, a huge wide-shouldered figure ran across the road on two legs into dense woods. The witness and the driving daughter saw the crossing, with the witness reporting more detail about its size and shape. A pack of dogs was noticed sniffing and acting excited on the road just past the crossing point.

On a sunny late morning the witness was driving slowly south on a rural road south of town. He saw a large upright figure crossing ahead, coming from the direction of the river and heading toward the bluffs. The figure walked very quickly with long strides and swinging arms across an open planted field. The witness followed briefly by vehicle but remained about 100 yards away before the figure disappeared into woods after about one to two minutes.

The son was driving home late at night when his headlights lit up a tall dark figure at the desert edge by the development gates. The figure walked away past reflective barricades and frightened him so badly he ran inside to tell his father. The family later found a large footprint outline and had doorbell video of him running inside.

The witness was driving slowly through heavy canopy on Willard Road around dusk in rain. She saw a large black object filling the lane that crawled with a mechanical up-and-down motion. As she approached, it popped upright onto a bank, revealing a tall, slim, hair-covered upright figure with a conical head, which then stepped into the woods. She returned the next day but found no tracks due to rain.
Road crossing sighting 3mi north of Columbia Gorge, south of Willard
The witness was driving on Williard Road toward its junction in late afternoon when headlights revealed a large black figure in the roadway. The figure appeared to move on all fours across the road, then rose to two legs at the bank and walked into the woods, showing a tall build with a conical head, longer arms, bulky legs, and no clothing, snout, or bear-like ears. The witness first mistook it for a huge bear or multiple deer or elk before concluding it was a Sasquatch. A return visit to look for tracks found nothing after heavy rain.

After rounding a corner they saw two dark upright figures sprint across the road about 30 yards ahead and down a gully. The companion driving did not see them. The witness first thought bears but later concluded the height and upright running did not fit bears.

The witness and his wife were driving at night after visiting a Christmas lights display. A large bulky creature crossed the road in front of their vehicle from left to right and entered the woods. Illuminated by headlights at close range, it was seen by both occupants.

Two people driving east on a dirt forest road heard a loud ruckus in the woods and stopped. A tall, dark-brown upright creature ran across the road about 10 feet in front of their vehicle, crossing in two steps. It continued about 40 yards into the woods and disappeared within seconds.

The same group returned a week later with daylight fading. They saw a basketball-sized bluish-white orb moving through trees, then on a moonlit road walk one witness saw a gray upright figure dart across the road in one or two steps. Back at the vehicle they found another greasy handprint, played vocalizations that were mimicked from very close behind them, and later heard faint distant whoops.

The witness and spouse were driving a motorhome south on Highway 37 when a single bipedal figure emerged from forest on one side, crossed two lanes in full view, and disappeared into forest on the other side. The figure was described as over 7 feet tall, covered head to foot in dark brown hair, walking almost completely erect with broad strides. Both occupants observed the crossing from about 50 yards away around 10 a.m. and could not stop due to lack of shoulder and truck traffic.

The witness was driving south on Tin Top Road at night when he saw movement approaching the road. A bipedal figure about 100 feet away stumbled into the roadway, paused briefly, then ran at high speed into an overgrown field. The witness estimated the encounter lasted about five seconds before he continued home.

The witness was driving to a night shift and turned onto an unfamiliar county road to avoid a traffic stop. After reaching a dead end at a creek and turning around, the witness saw a large dark figure cross the road behind the vehicle in the rearview mirror. The figure was described as looking toward the vehicle before disappearing. An attempt to capture dashcam video produced poor footage.

Around 4:45 a.m., the witness was driving west to work when headlights illuminated a large dark figure crossing the road a short distance ahead. The figure moved bipedally with swinging arms at a brisk walk and crossed in only a few steps before entering the woods. Because of its great height and width, the witness judged it was not a human.

The witness and a young companion were driving slowly north on Bragg Road with only parking lights on to look for the local lights. A tall dark bipedal figure emerged from woods on the east side about 20 feet in front of the truck and walked slowly across the road. It paused to look toward the occupants, showing eyeshine in the parking lights, then stepped over the road grade into the forest while crunching sounds were heard as it walked away. The witness stopped briefly then left immediately, unsettled by the human-like appearance and size.
