The witness was riding a four-wheeler on an old gravel road in a rural area with a cornfield on one side and woods on the other. From a distance the witness saw a figure first thought to be a dog, then recognized as man-like as they got closer. The figure rose from a kneeling position, moved to the roadway, looked at the witness, and then went into the woods. The witness paused briefly and then turned around and rode away, afraid it might return.

At a T-intersection, the witness saw a tall brown-haired figure on the road about 30-40 feet away that looked toward the vehicle and then ambled across into the woods. The sighting lasted about 10 seconds and no one else in the truck was awake to see it. The witness was dropped at a remote bridge site about 10 minutes later and spent the night there.
