On Feb. 1, 2007 while driving on Highway 60 past Vernon, the witness saw a bipedal creature running toward the road. It placed a hand on a fence T-post, vaulted over, crossed the two-lane road in a few strides, and continued into a narrow canyon out of sight. The witness pulled over but remained in the vehicle and did not look for tracks.

The witness and a coworker were driving home in separate vehicles in the dark when both swerved to avoid a tall headless black shape walking unnaturally in the road. They returned to the spot and found a very large dog-like animal lying across both lanes that lifted its head, growled deeply, stood up on two legs to eye level, stared, then dropped to a crouch and left toward a fenced ditch. A small wet mouse then stood between the two men cleaning itself and showed no fear when nudged, after which both left for home.

The witness was driving slowly to work in heavy fog before sunrise when a tall hairy biped crossed the road a few yards ahead from right to left. The animal moved at a slow run and briefly turned its upper torso toward the headlights before disappearing into the fog. The driver stopped, stunned at nearly hitting it, but could give no further detail because of the conditions and brief duration.

The witness was driving east on Highway 11 just outside Fort Frances in daylight when a tall dark moose-sized figure crossed the road on two legs from the south woods to the north woods. About an hour after dark they saw the silhouette of a tall, very skinny biped cross the road about 30-40 feet away toward the lake. Three men in a truck had just passed through a ranch gate in daylight when a tall, dark-haired creature emerged from a pine thicket and ran across the road in front of them in about three strides. It continued over a fence into trees on the other side in a matter of seconds without making sound. All three occupants reportedly watched the crossing and later searched for footprints without success.

The witness was riding in a car following friends toward a lake campground just after dark. Friends in the lead car reported something crossing the road after a bridge, and about a minute later the witness saw a tall hair-covered figure in brush beside the road that turned to look at the car before walking toward the river and into the woods. No one else in the witness's car saw it, but both occupants of the lead car said they saw it.

The witness was riding as a front-seat passenger in a van approaching a curve when they saw a large furry figure running upright across a crossroad and behind a billboard into brush and woods. The witness stated he was certain of what he saw and ruled out a bear based on its erect posture and movement.

The witness returned in daylight to measure roadside features for a size estimate of at least eight feet tall and found no hair or tracks.
