Witness hears loud screams and foot steps while camping near Laporte
The witness was camping in tents with five companions. In the early morning after going to bed, she and one companion heard two very loud vocalizations combining screaming and grunting, with the second appearing to move quickly. Later she heard heavy bipedal footsteps in camp, and in the morning bottled water was missing from a cooler while other food remained.

The witness had left a pack with clothes and snacks at his deer stand the day before opening weekend and had noticed snacks missing in prior years. Approaching the stand over a ridge, he heard banging and watched a small ape-like juvenile jumping on the stand, swinging from a branch and climbing the ladder for several minutes. When it noticed him it made a low distress call, followed by an extremely loud roar from a wooded island about 100 yards away that he felt in his chest. He fled immediately and returned about a week later to find the stand torn down and the pack and contents shredded over a wide area.

A couple who team-drive a long-haul truck reported seeing dead animals with no blood or skid marks along I-94 at dawn, including a curled bear, dairy cows, and deer within a few miles. After unloading, they drove Highway 61 along the Mississippi River and watched a small black unmarked helicopter with blacked-out windows struggle to lift a large white teardrop-shaped bag from the riverbank via cable. Shortly after, both received identical texts from a blocked number asking to speak with them, which they deleted, and they noticed several unplated black SUVs at a nearby gas station.

Four coworkers camped overnight to go grouse hunting. During the night something ran through camp and overturned both tents, stepping on one occupant. The witness fired three rounds of birdshot at a fleeing shape that screamed, and the group stayed up until daylight and left without finding tracks.
