The activity continued over several days with more distant knocks that seemed to approach, another large rock landing near the witness, and an ice chest found opened.

After buying five acres and building a vacation cabin, the witness reports infrequent wood knocks, a broken drain pipe, a pushed-in door frame, saw blades moved below the house, and a bird feeder repeatedly carried to the treeline. She dismissed these at the time as animals or vandals.
Hunter in a ghillie suit on Pine Mountain has a close encounter
A deer hunter in scent-masking clothes and a ghillie suit was set up on a rock overlooking a saddle at daybreak. A large dark ape-like animal threw a stick that landed behind him, then charged after he shouted and pointed his muzzleloader. He fired in front of it to deter it; it stopped, stood, grunted, and a smaller one emerged crying before both left. He abandoned his gear and found it ransacked the next day.

The witness, a contractor who collects road-killed deer, stopped to load a fresh doe into his pickup in the early morning. While seated in the cab reaching for paperwork, he felt the truck shudder and saw in the rearview mirror a dark figure reaching into the truck bed. He drove away quickly, and when he returned minutes later the newly loaded deer and a loading ramp were gone.
Couple south of Aurora hears repeated screams, encounter with dog
Late at night the witness and a companion at home heard loud roaring scream patterns from across a small lake that they judged non-human and primate-like, appearing to respond to barking dogs and move along the shore. About three minutes later they heard a violent scuffle with thudding, brush noise and a dog's pained yelp followed by quiet splashing. The next morning a canoe dock where the scuffle was heard was seen destroyed, and the dog was later found alive but limping.
Motorists describe boat on trailer being shaken violently at night near Lake Cowichan
Three people driving with a boat on a trailer stopped on a logging road at night. While stopped the truck shook and rocked sideways and the boat and trailer were pushed toward the side of the road by something unseen. The driver drove away thinking it might be an earthquake or landslide. Later inspection showed the boat twisted on the trailer with a split hull, damaged tie-downs and latch, and non-working trailer lights, with no claw marks found.
Nighttime sighting by motorist near Land O'Lakes
The witness was driving at night behind another car when both vehicles stopped for a tall, dark, manlike figure crossing the road in the headlights. The figure was described as 8-9 feet tall with very long arms and a strong musk odor that lingered after it left. It reportedly broke the top off a barbed-wire fence post, went over the fence, and disappeared into the woods. The next day the witness found a broken post, bent wire, and broken brush leading into the treeline.

A group of four on dirt bikes and quads stopped at night to fix a broken chain. They heard repeated loud moans, then a series of knocks like on a tree, then something running fast through dense woods around them. Frightened, they abandoned one bike and fled, finding the bike moved off the trail when they returned the next day.

The witness was asleep at home when loud moaning and howling outside the open bedroom window woke her. The sounds shifted from distress-like cries to very deep angry growls. A pet dog barked from below, then something approached the garage area, growled deeply, and struck the building, after which the dog fell silent. The witness stayed in bed too frightened to look outside.
Couple camping at a lake near Greenwater experience possible screams
The witness and a companion were camping at an isolated lake over a long weekend. On Saturday morning they began hearing very loud guttural scream-growls that seemed to warn them away from certain areas, including the path to the lake, and the sounds continued into Sunday. Overnight they heard cooking gear clanging and a heavy thump like logs dumped beside their trailer, but in the morning the gear was largely in place and no logs were found, and the companion also reported a strong putrid smell.

The witness and relatives were sleeping in a tent at an abandoned family homesite. In darkness the witness heard bipedal footsteps approach, contact and scratch the rain cover and disturb stakes, then heard a second set of footsteps nearby and distant rock-clicking sounds. After triggering a vehicle alarm, a branch broke as something walked away. In the morning the witness found a footprint-like mark, lifted stakes, and bent trees.
Teens have very Close Encounter with Creature
The witness and two young companions were fishing on a private wooded property around noon. When the witness approached palmettos to check a noise, he saw eyes, heard a growl, and watched the creature stand to about nine feet tall. The group fled and returned hours later to find food and fish missing, poles scattered, and their shirts draped high in a live oak.

The witness walked alone down a gated dirt road to join friends at a lakeside camp and heard rhythmic banging like sticks. Later that night while kneeling to build a fire with a companion, two small sticks came from the dark woods and landed between and behind them. After others went to the water and noticed many crayfish, the group heard thumps by the fire, found the fire logs disturbed and later the tent support bent, then left the camp that night and did not return.
Tall hairy figure leans out from behind a tree to observe woman outside San Antonio
While cleaning a construction office trailer around midnight, the wife stepped outside and saw a tall hair-covered figure watching from behind a tree about 25 feet away. She stared for a couple minutes as it leaned to look around the tree, then ran inside. The couple checked the area with headlights, saw nothing, waited in the dark, and heard whistling and rustling before leaving. In daylight the next day they found nothing that explained the figure.

The witness and a companion were walking along a road late at night when they heard a strange drawn-out hoot-like vocalization and heavy footsteps approaching through a field. The unseen source circled around them in the dark, vocalized again, and reportedly knocked down an old barbed-wire fence ahead of them. The pair never saw the source of the sounds.
Woman and her husband have night time encounter near El Campo
The witness was sitting on the porch at night when the dogs reacted to a heavy stepping sound nearby. After getting her husband, the couple watched a grayish hair-covered biped about 5 feet tall leap onto and off a refrigerator on a trailer, knocking the trailer off its blocks. The animal then fled on two legs in a stooped posture toward the road while the husband fired a pistol into the ground.

The witness and his wife were bedded down in their pop-up camper at night when they heard lapping sounds and their skillet rattling outside. The witness opened the camper door expecting a bear and saw a large dark upright shape about forty feet away moving swiftly into the timber. The camper shook strongly as the animal left while nearby dogs barked. In the morning no tracks were found and they could not recreate the shaking.

A witness camping with two relatives heard repeated whoop sounds and felt watched during an early-evening hike, then ran back to camp. Overnight the group heard heavy slow footsteps outside the tent, and around 4 a.m. noticed a strong foul dirty-animal odor. By morning the tent and tarp were found marked with a strong urine-like smell, and the tarp was left behind.

The witness was staying with a companion in the living room of a relative's house late at night after a relative had reported a very tall figure outside. After hearing noises like objects being thrown in the dining room, the witness went to check and saw a large hand reach through the window, across a table, and take a bowl containing food. Those present were frightened and the witness called the conservation office, after which nothing further happened that night.
