After sneaking into a community pool at night, the witness ran into adjoining woods to avoid the caretaker and collided with something. He looked up and saw a manlike figure about eight feet tall covered head to foot in long hair with a strong smell. The witness, then a teenager, was riding in a car with friends at night near Allaire State Park when they heard a high-pitched screech. While making a K-turn, the headlights illuminated a very tall reddish-brown manlike figure very close to the front of the car. The figure appeared surprised by the lights, the driver froze, a companion honked the horn with no immediate reaction, and a musty smell was noticed.

A group playing noisily on a campground playground at night noticed a strong rotting odor. They saw a tall brown hairy figure standing at the edge of the tree line about 50 feet from the nearest child, watching the activity. After being stared at for a short time, it walked back into the woods.

The witness, then a teenager on a church group camping trip in the mountains, was sleeping apart from the group and watching the peaks. He noticed the jagged horizon looked smooth and swaying, realized it was the silhouette of a large standing animal at the foot of his sleeping bag, smelled a skunk-cabbage odor, hid under his bag, and later found it gone. Around the same time other children by a rock overhang shouted about seeing a big gorilla-like figure moving and walking away, which the adults dismissed.

Six youths walking along railroad tracks heard a loud guttural sound behind them and turned to see a tall hair-covered figure. The figure walked steadily across the tracks and down into swampy woods about 110 feet away without stopping.
