Sasquatch sighting in Mississippi (2020)
The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand off a power line in a state wildlife management area on a December afternoon. After hearing heavy breathing and movement, the witness observed a large black hairy human-like figure first on all fours then sitting and standing. The figure vocalized in gibberish-like speech, screamed, grunted, approached to about 30 yards and remained for an extended period before tearing vegetation and moving off. While the witness fled toward a truck, movement paralleled the witness in the woods while vocalizations continued behind, suggesting a second individual, and the witness fired a shot in the air before driving away.

In late August 2012, the witness was exploring the edge of a swamp with a relative when a very heavy pine root fell from high in the air and landed nearby. The witness watched its trajectory and judged it too heavy to have been thrown by a person, noting no one should reasonably be in the swamp at that season. No creature was seen during this incident.

Over years on the same lease the guest heard repeated rhythmic knocking after getting off his vehicle, plus bipedal steps, truck-like sounds, sticks and cones dropping, and owl-like sounds. He first rationalized them as people, deer, squirrels or owls. After his sighting he reinterpreted them as Sasquatch warning others of his approach.

That night the guest and his girlfriend went to bed around 10:30 and were woken around 11:30 by something hitting the house. The impacts repeated about every 10 minutes until 3 a.m. for three nights. After he went outside and apologized, a small pebble hit by his head and the heavy hitting stopped.

The guest returned to his feeding cooler without food and found it open and upside down. While walking back he heard chimp-like noises, running sounds on both sides, and pine cones landing around him. A loud scream behind him like a lion turning to elephant to woman shook him, knocked him down, and made him vomit before he drove home.
