The guest and a friend were turkey hunting in Indiana and followed feathers uphill. Both felt watched and found trees laid down to form a funnel that felt like an ambush. They then heard a faint child-like cry twice from the direction they were being led and left quickly.

Several years after the screaming stopped, a hunter returned to his stand in the thicket and found a stack of six or seven long poles, some broken and some apparently pulled up by the roots, placed about eight feet above the ground under the stand. He had hunted the same stand the prior season without such a structure present.
