Odor in Texas (1992)
After his stepfather died, the witness returned to the family land in East Texas to look for trees where money and papers had been hidden. Near the area of a childhood sighting he smelled the same strong pungent odor and heard heavy, widely spaced footsteps moving through overgrown brush. He froze and backed away as the steps receded, feeling the impacts and hearing vegetation being broken aside, sensing other watchers but no aggression and feeling the creature remembered him.

Three coon hunters were walking a trail at night when something followed behind them in the brush. On signal they shined high-beam lights and saw a tall dark brown hairy figure step across the trail in one stride and run up a wooded hill breaking limbs. The companion was startled at the trailer hitch, dropped a battery and fled, while crashing was heard in the forest and a bad smell was noticed. Two high-school companions went to an old single-lane railroad bridge at night to look into stories that it was haunted. While walking toward an abandoned barn they heard approaching rustling, then a loud scream-growl and heavy footsteps. A large shaggy creature reportedly ran at them on all fours, stood up about 15 feet away, and chased them back to their car before leaving when something else came down the road. They returned the next day and found odd-looking footprints.

In August 1991 the witness went trout fishing alone at a creek he had fished since childhood. He became nervous feeling watched and noticing murky water, then left the water and moved down the trail. Something followed and chased him as he ran while watching it, until passing cars allowed him to escape to safety.

Four people camped overnight along a trail in the New Jersey pine barrens heard an odd high-pitched scream for about ten minutes late at night. They also heard something large moving through thick brush about 20-25 yards away, pausing at intervals as it passed the campsite, but dim light prevented any visual identification. The sound eventually faded away and the group did not investigate that night or the next day.

The witness and a companion arrived home at night and heard a loud roaring scream twice from a nearby hillside. The witness took a light and walked toward the woods without it on, smelling a strong foul odor and hearing branches breaking. When the flashlight was turned on, the witness briefly saw a tall, large, hairy bipedal animal fleeing through the woods. Broken branches and ground disturbance were found the next day.

A group of six hiked down a mountain trail in the afternoon. A hair-covered biped crossed the trail between the lead hiker and the next person and leapt down an embankment into trees. The party glimpsed movement and heard crashing as a dog chased it, then watched a distant burnt tree sway with creaking before falling. Believing the creature pushed the tree over, the group left quickly.
Moped rider hears loud vocalizations and crashing in woods near Edinboro
The witness took a child for a moped ride into woods behind a family picnic gathering. An extremely loud scream was heard three times at short intervals, sounding closer each time and approaching very quickly. Loud crashing suggested something large moving through trees and swamp toward them. The witness fled with the child to the polebarn and reported the incident to relatives, who laughed and would not return to investigate.

The witness and their then-spouse were sleeping in a tent at a camp in the Bradshaw Mountains when they were awakened by high-pitched calls coming from both a ridge above camp and a slope below. They listened for about half an hour as the two sources called back and forth and shifted position, then retreated to their truck after hearing rocks trickle down the slope, hearing the sounds move north before dawn. In the morning the witness saw a trail crossing the campsite, and years later both the witness and the former spouse said the sounds matched a published recording labeled 'Scream.'

The witness was camping with companions near a field when movement was heard across the field and a feeling of being watched was reported. The witness moved away from the campfire for a clearer view in bright moonlight and observed a tall dark figure walking along the treeline toward a ravine. The figure left the area quickly and was not seen or heard again.

Twelve hunters were sleeping in a meadow camp after a day of bow hunting. Around 2 a.m. something heavy ran through the camp emitting a high-pitched female-like scream. The runner shook a truck as it passed and knocked over a full ice chest but was not seen in the dark. No unusual prints were found the next morning.

The witness was riding in a rented boat on Lake Livingston with five companions when she felt watched from shore. She turned and saw a tall black hairy block-built figure staring at her for a few seconds before it stepped sideways into dense forest. Its departure shook trees and flushed birds, and the companions heard the crashing but did not see the figure; the group declined to go ashore to look for footprints.

During a nighttime military training bivouac near Cat Lake, the witness heard huffing and barking sounds approaching down a moonlit hillside with shaking and falling trees. A large upright man-like form with broad shoulders stepped into the clearing, huffed loudly, then ran upright across the clearing with swinging arms and heavy steps felt in the ground. The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.

While family members fished a pond clear on three sides with woods rising on the fourth, a loud crashing approach came down the hill shaking trees. A cousin fishing alone on the wooded side threw down his pole, ran back screaming and shaking. The father suggested a deer feeder, but the cabin owner later said no feeder was ever there.

The witness was teaching a companion how to camp without fire or lights in wooded terrain when they realized they were surrounded by several large upright figures. The figures remained mostly still, with only minor sounds, while the pair talked and then backed out with firearms ready without firing at the figures. One figure was later seen leaping from the roadside high into a tree. The witness returned the next day to recover gear, found extensive large tracks, followed fresh tracks, and encountered one individual at close range.

The witness was deer hunting from an old tree stand on a mountain crest in the morning and dozed off. A strong odor and rustling woke the witness to see a small reddish-brown hair-covered biped below eating discarded fruit. A much larger black hair-covered biped then approached vocalizing, the two interacted and appeared to notice the witness before leaving, and a hunting companion nearby also reported seeing a large upright figure moving fast through trees.

The witness and a relative were driving at night and stopped in the middle of a desolate road so the witness could step out. After a warning from the relative, the witness heard branches breaking and increasing footsteps from woods by the road and saw a tall dark upright figure running toward the car. The witness got back in the car and drove away, then saw the figure standing in the road behind them in the brake lights.
