After his stepfather died, the witness returned to the family land in East Texas to look for trees where money and papers had been hidden. Near the area of a childhood sighting he smelled the same strong pungent odor and heard heavy, widely spaced footsteps moving through overgrown brush. He froze and backed away as the steps receded, feeling the impacts and hearing vegetation being broken aside, sensing other watchers but no aggression and feeling the creature remembered him.

The witness was riding in a rented boat on Lake Livingston with five companions when she felt watched from shore. She turned and saw a tall black hairy block-built figure staring at her for a few seconds before it stepped sideways into dense forest. Its departure shook trees and flushed birds, and the companions heard the crashing but did not see the figure; the group declined to go ashore to look for footprints.

A large dark figure moved away toward a creek, crossed without an audible splash, and was seen again briefly about 100 feet away on the far bank. The witness found a large decayed log apparently moved at the first location and then returned to the truck.

The witness and a companion parked by a lake dam at night to exercise their coon dogs. They watched a silent white-blue light on the dam go out and reappear closer, weaving through trees toward them. Both retreated to the truck and fled by a longer route, later finding the dogs wedged behind the toolbox. They were mocked when they told others and stopped repeating the story.

As a boy riding his bicycle home on a trail through the woods on a hot clear afternoon, the witness felt watched and then heard brush thrashing as something kept pace with him. He raced to a more open trail and looked back to see a very tall, shaggy reddish-brown creature with dark bare facial skin standing at the tree line watching him. He reported a horrible stench filling the air and an absence of normal forest sounds, saying the sighting lasted about half a minute and left him avoiding the woods for months.

The witness, then about 11, went with his father to a surveyor's home in deep East Texas and followed the surveyor's young son down a thin trail behind the house to a deadfall. The son gave whooping calls, after which the witness heard approaching footsteps, heavy breathing like a horse, a deep word-like vocalization and a powerful percussive sound, then breaking limbs. The witness fled back to the house as a tall dark figure ran alongside through the brush, stopping when he screamed for his father.

The witness was at a cabin in East Texas in the evening and went to her truck to get a wallet. As she grabbed the door handle the whole truck shook violently and she saw a huge dark mass hunched in the bed, taller than the cab. The mass flew silently across the road and railroad tracks while both she and her fiancé watched, and no tracks were found the next day.

After pulling a pop-up camper into a lakeside clearing at sunset, the witness and his girlfriend noticed the woods go deathly silent. They then heard crashes, a cackle and growl, and something like a steamroller coming through the woods parting the treetops. A teacher and companions are said to have encountered a tall creature on at least six occasions near an old bridge in Cooke County, Texas. The encounters occurred at night from a vehicle, with the figure seen as a tall silhouette in headlights and heard making threatening noises while moving through brush. On one occasion the creature was described as bouncing a limb, whose height was measured the next day, and daytime searches reportedly found bones in the creek. Shots were allegedly fired at the creature without apparent effect.

During the day the group split on a trail to look for prints while trying to stay quiet. They suddenly heard a loud crash like a truck driving through the woods nearby. The witnesses concluded it was not made by their own split group.

On Friday night the group heard vocals from multiple directions. After dropping a 4x4 board to mimic knocks, the surrounding area erupted in sound. Walking up the trail, they heard something step out and shake a large tree very close and heard bipedal footsteps hit the mud, then backed out.

On Thursday night while three men sat by a vehicle, something crashed quickly through thick brush, flanked across the road and behind them. The witness followed the local guide into the treeline and a large log was thrown end-over-end toward them, hitting a tree. On leaving they found a log deliberately placed across the road where the thing had crossed and heard distant chatter and howls.

While touring a remote camp area with a group that included recent visitors, the witness saw a sasquatch-like shadow or movement on a distant ridge going through trees. Others positioned further up reportedly had a better view.

The witness was alone fishing from a boat on a lake in the afternoon. About twenty yards away on the bank the witness saw a black upright figure trying to hide its face and move away. It slipped through brush silently, ran up a hill, and made loud branch-breaking sounds that frightened the witness, who waited at the ramp before leaving.

Still water showed a wave as if something had just been in it, with a spaced bipedal water trail leading to brush.
