Two brothers were night-fishing from a secluded point when they broadcast loud predator calls for about 90 minutes and then sat quietly. The witness heard footsteps approaching through the woods and shone a high-powered spotlight toward the sound. A loud, deafening scream/roar erupted, terrifying both men, who then gathered gear and left with one covering their exit. They reported sensing movement about 20 to 30 yards away and hearing branches breaking in another direction but seeing no distinct shape.

While fishing alone early one morning the guest playfully made whoop sounds. A short time later something crashed loudly through thick brush toward his point, paced back and forth just out of sight, made huffing sounds, then walked away bipedally. He backed his boat off the bank and was left stunned.

He then smelled a strong foul odor, a log was thrown against the base of his tree, and something moved away through thick brush without being clearly seen. A loud scream was heard shortly afterward from the far end of the woods, after which he remained in the stand for about an hour before leaving.

He heard rustling and grunting and saw a tall hair-covered creature standing near a tree about 50 yards away, then saw it again about 20 to 30 yards away while walking back. He left the area without using the firearm he was carrying and later told a relative what he had seen.

A couple camping on an isolated site finished dinner and sat by a campfire when the wife felt watched and fearful. The husband searched with lights and briefly saw movement in the trees about 30 feet away, including what looked like a large dark lower leg. While inside the trailer the wife heard two to three whooping sounds from that wooded area.

The witness stayed two nights at a friend's house on a wooded mountain development. On the first night outside the house he reported paired knocking sounds, stones hitting the roof, and a brief glimpse of gray movement. The next day he found two partial human-like footprints in a steep bank near a trail. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.

On a Friday night during an archery-hunt camping trip, the witness and a relative sat by the campfire while two unseen presences circled the camp, breaking branches, pacing, and making heavy footsteps. Others sheltering in the trailer also heard footsteps, breaking branches, impacts, and a heavy sigh, and later a branch-like object was dragged across the trailer roof.

Around 4 a.m. the witness awoke to branches breaking about 50 yards away followed by an extremely loud scream/howl he said he had never heard before. After a few minutes he heard more branches breaking, then nothing further. Frightened, he packed up and left with the relative about half an hour later.

Two companions were quietly floating in a canoe on a dark creek at night when they startled something standing at the creek edge. They heard heavy bipedal footsteps exiting the water, displacing water and making waves, then moving onto the bank. A large rock then splashed into the creek very close to the canoe, after which the subject walked uphill into the woods. The witnesses stayed silent out of fear and never saw the subject because of darkness.

The witness camped alone for several nights using a thermal imager. On the fourth night an object was thrown near the tent, then a heat signature was seen peeking over brush along a trail. The figure stood and ran away bipedally while brush thrashed on both sides, and the witness left the thermal recording overnight.

The witness was reading in a parked van at a remote wooded campsite while a companion napped. After prolonged bark-tearing and movement sounds followed by silence, a long thick branch flew from the trees and struck the van's side mirror with enough force to shatter it. The witness saw its straight trajectory and concluded it had been thrown rather than fallen. Both occupants then watched and listened but detected nothing further at that time.

In June 2008 around 9:30 p.m., the witness was walking with a child along a road toward a farm when a strange high-pitched howl and musty odor were noticed. A tall, hairy human-like figure emerged from a cornfield and followed at a distance as they hurried toward a waiting vehicle. When vehicle headlights were turned on, the figure paused, vocalized again, and retreated quickly into the corn. The waiting adult also heard the vocalization.
