Across the river they noticed movement in a brush-filled crevasse and watched a large dark-haired figure crouching and then climbing upward on its hind legs while holding trees and rocks. After losing sight of it in dense vegetation, they returned to camp and cut the trip short.

He then heard a loud scream and rustling, called for the dogs to be let in, but only one returned and the other was never found. The witness and a relative parked a heavy flatbed truck in a wooded area to sleep for a few hours before fishing at dawn. Around 5 a.m. something shook the truck violently side to side several times, waking both occupants. They smelled a strong rancid odor, saw nothing in the darkness, and stayed in the cab until daylight before leaving without checking for tracks.
Teenagers have sighting of two creatures near Albion
In summer 1966, the witness and her older sister were talking in a parked car near a river in Albion in the evening while the rest of the family was on a nearby boat. Across the river they watched two large, hairy, bipedal animals chase a flock of about 50 sheep around a fenced pasture for 20-30 minutes. After dark they hid in the locked car overnight and reported the event to their parents in the morning, later learning several sheep had been killed with bellies and internal organs eaten.

A group camping with horses heard the horses startle something at dusk and then saw a huge brown figure about 6 feet tall running extremely fast across a meadow away from the horses in a cloud of dust. One tethered horse was so frightened it jumped over another horse. The witness concluded the figure could not have been a bear because of the sound it made and the way it ran.
