The witness was walking at night with a flashlight to fetch ice when dogs began barking loudly. A very large hair-covered biped ran from behind a house toward the woods, then rushed to the road edge, stared with glowing eyes and made a loud growling sound. Around 5 a.m. something shook the truck violently side to side several times, waking both occupants. The coworkers thought it was a man in dark clothing, but the witness disagreed. A later visit to the clearing found no tracks because the ground was too grassy.

It paused in front of the car, turned its head to look at them, then continued across the road into the woods. She felt stared at and terrified and blocked the windows, then her husband hurried into the truck saying he had seen a whitish-gray thing about four feet high and five feet long moving on all fours as if gliding. Both remained scared in the truck without investigating.
