Howls heard near Molly's Rock Park in Sumter National Forest
The witness and two companions were stopped on a highway in an isolated forested area after their car broke down. They heard three long howl-like vocalizations that they said did not sound like coyotes or cows. The area was unusually quiet with no insect sounds.

After returning home and lying on his bed, the guest heard screams, howls and whoops coming from different locations on the mountain behind the house. The vocalizations lasted over an hour until about twenty after four.
