Three companions walked to a boat ramp on a river at night to watch the water. They heard movement in brush across the water, then heard two rock impacts nearby on the bank and in the river. They then heard an unfamiliar ape-like yowl and huffing sounds from the same direction. They saw nothing and left the area immediately.

Three people spending the night in a trailer heard distant howling that grew closer and seemed to come from more than one direction, and they called back. Small stones were thrown toward them, and they heard stomping, grunting, knocking, movement in brush close by, and trees breaking.
