After locating cabin evidence the group was eating at camp just after sunset when loud howls and chattering began on a ridge to the west. Additional voices to the south joined until up to five sources called back and forth for several minutes. The guest interpreted it as a conversation directed at or about the group.

On a November afternoon hunt, the witness heard loud yelling mixed with growls and screams nearby and recorded trees breaking and heavy pounding footsteps approaching. Deer in the area fled as the sounds got closer, and the witness left quickly. Cattle in a nearby pasture were later seen huddled far from the sounds.

A family camped at Salmon Meadows near Conconully heard repeated strange howl-like yells from the creek bed below their site in the late afternoon. After going to investigate and finding a young cow near a cattle guard, they heard howls again overnight and in the early morning. The witness hiked a loop trail near Lake Cushman with three family members in late morning. The group heard a mournful 8-10 second howl/groan and about 30 minutes later encountered a strong skunk- and ammonia-like odor near a creek bridge on both sides of the trail. They also noticed unusual uprooted mushrooms along the trail. No creature was seen.

On his last night of work in 2010, the guest parked at his rented room on his boss's wooded property around 1 a.m. Birds erupted, then a loud rising howl-scream vibrated his car and silenced frogs and birds. He then heard movement and large rocks clashing in a ravine before running to the house and telling his boss he thought a Sasquatch was in the backyard.

The witness was camped alone on the second night of a three-day backpacking trip in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. At about 2:30 a.m. he was awakened by three consecutive whooping yells followed by a loud three-second guttural scream from up the valley. He then heard very faint distant answering calls or howling. He stayed awake for a couple more hours and heard nothing further.

The witness was sunbathing alone on a log at the brushy end of a lake in the mid-afternoon. A very loud, sustained howl rising from low to high pitch was heard at very close range, ending in a hoop-like sound, followed by silence. Late one summer night in 2008 the witness sat on the back deck with her dog because heat prevented sleep. She heard a long siren-like howl from the direction of a forested mountain that lasted roughly 50 seconds. Her normally vocal dog instead pressed against her in fear, and she felt compelled to go quickly and quietly inside. She later compared the sound to recordings and felt it matched a published Sasquatch howl recording.

Around 4 a.m. the witness awoke to branches breaking about 50 yards away followed by an extremely loud scream/howl he said he had never heard before. After a few minutes he heard more branches breaking, then nothing further. Frightened, he packed up and left with the relative about half an hour later.

The witness was at his ranch at night when dogs barked repeatedly from about 1:30 to 4:30 a.m. He went outside around 3 a.m. and heard repeated drawn-out howl-like calls. A second witness later described hearing the same 7-8 second howl repeated three times.
Husband and wife hear possible vocalizations on Harstine Island
A couple arriving at their cabin heard distant, deep vocalizations lasting about five minutes. The sounds were described as long, low-pitched roar-like screams with a growly tone that dropped lower in pitch. Their dogs became clingy and whined, and were brought inside. The husband first suggested elk or coyote but concluded the depth and duration were not human or known animal.

Early one Sunday morning in November 2007, the witness let the dog out before work and heard a distant howl or moan that did not sound like cougar or coyote. The sound continued for about 10 minutes, stopped while the witness went inside, then resumed in short bursts about 30 minutes later. The witness and four companions camped on a logging spur to climb Mount St Helens. Around 2-3 a.m., the witness and one companion awoke to very loud, distant, deep howling that lasted about 15 minutes. They had not heard the sound before and ruled out cougar and elk, tentatively considering a bear but finding it too loud for a bear at that distance. No visual contact or physical evidence was reported, and the sound was heard on only one of three nights at the site.

The witness was walking dogs along the Sammamish River in Marymoor Park in the afternoon. From riverside cover about 50 yards away, a loud sustained screeching-howl was heard, clearly audible over traffic noise, startling the witness and dogs. The sound repeated farther upriver and was followed by wood-on-wood knocking, with additional knocks heard later near an old windmill. The witness searched from the bank and bridge but saw no people or animals.

The witness and his wife were outside watching their dogs late at night when they heard an unfamiliar sound from the north toward a creek. The wife said she had never heard such a sound before. After going inside, she compared it to animal and Bigfoot audio clips and said it sounded identical to the Bigfoot clips.

The witness and a companion were camping at an isolated lake over a long weekend. On Saturday morning they began hearing very loud guttural scream-growls that seemed to warn them away from certain areas, including the path to the lake, and the sounds continued into Sunday. Overnight they heard cooking gear clanging and a heavy thump like logs dumped beside their trailer, but in the morning the gear was largely in place and no logs were found, and the companion also reported a strong putrid smell.

Late at night the witness lay in bed and heard repeated moaning-howl sounds from outside through a partly open window. After looking from a lit front window without seeing anything, the witness went to a parent's back bedroom where the sound was still clearly audible. When blinds were raised and a window was opened noisily the sound stopped and was not heard again.
