Late at night the witness was gaming at home when she heard a deep growl that grew louder and shifted into a loud distressed bellowing outside her office window. She looked toward the window and saw a pair of yellow-green luminous eyes watching her for a few seconds before they turned and moved away. She initially thought the eyes might be human but concluded they were not, and the next day found no tracks beneath the window.

After the boar fled, an upright figure appeared at the tree line, stood over the boar's spot, and was then illuminated by high beams. The figure blocked the light, showed glowing eyes, grunted, crossed the road in three strides, grabbed a sapling and disappeared uphill, leaving a strong odor.

A figure approached uphill in a zigzag while making stepping sounds and low grunts and growls, then stopped a few feet away at eye level for about 20 seconds. In August 1984 four teenagers were camping overnight on a wooded ridge when they heard unexplained noises and their dogs became agitated. A very loud yell came from just behind their lean-to, which shook visibly, causing the group to flee through the dark woods. One teen briefly froze before following, later reporting grunting and footsteps behind him. The next day the group found the lean-to torn down, the fire pit rocks scattered, and a strong wet-dog-like odor at the site.

Over the evening they heard deliberate footfalls, pacing and stick breaks in the treeline about sixty yards away and noticed the woods go silent. After the witness knocked on a tree and made a whoop call, they heard knocks in reply and then a long deep guttural growl. They rode toward the sound without seeing anything, then put out the fire and left feeling watched and frightened.

The father took his sons and dogs to swim in park pools when they smelled raw sewage and a pine tree broke into three pieces about 100 yards away. The father saw a figure moving between trees and then a tall creature about 40 feet away walking away across the parking area. They heard repeated loud grunts and later whoop calls and left quickly.

Over later visits to the same woods the witness and friends found a hair-covered shape curled like a stump, had a softball-sized rock thrown at their group, found a hung bait bucket punched open and emptied, felt hot breath and heard a grunt behind them with nothing seen, and found logs arranged like benches that gave an overwhelming feeling of dread. The witness also relayed a friend's solo report of something large jumping tree to tree with a shadow passing overhead.
