While stopped by an abandoned quarry lake, the guest heard a branch snap and baby-like crying. He walked over and found a small hairy juvenile stuck upside down by its leg in a tree. Two larger hairy females then appeared, one growled and yelled, and he fled back to his motorcycle where he later found three shiny rocks on the gas tank.

During a group outing intended to call in creatures, multiple individuals closed in while vocal mimicry shifted suddenly to loud aggressive growls. Two or three figures emerged from brush and physically forced participants toward vehicles. The group scrambled to leave as one researcher passed close by the largest individual.

Alone at Pine Glen Campground, the witness set up his camera and immediately heard a loud growl. Birds were chirping in summer conditions, but scanning with the camera revealed nothing around. The growl was captured on camera audio.

When approaching, the witness heard a deep resonant growl felt in the chest and retreated to the vehicle frightened.

He told family that one paced and growled at him as he returned home. It growled with a low growl the witness had never heard. They backed away without turning their backs and ran for the truck once it was out of sight.
