Apelike creature seen by children on a sand dune near Caseville
In summer 1965 the witness, then a child, joined other children searching sand dunes above Lake Huron after two children reported a frightening encounter. On a steep dune path in full moonlight she came face-to-face with a short orange-haired upright creature that growled, then grunted while swinging its arms and walking toward her. She fled to the beach and later learned her young sister had seen the same creature at close range from the side of the path.
Man recalls multi-witness sighting in teen years near Manistique
Six youths walking along railroad tracks heard a loud guttural sound behind them and turned to see a tall hair-covered figure. The figure walked steadily across the tracks and down into swampy woods about 110 feet away without stopping. The group later went to where it entered the woods, noticed a strong rotten odor but found no tracks.

During a live broadcast that required frequent phone resets, the group heard knocks and whoops timed to the resets. A loud deep voice said hello twice. When the witness and his partner separately approached the sound source in dense brush, each was met with a deep chest growl.

A powerful growl was felt in the chest from a distance, followed by two vocalizers calling back and forth while moving away. The witness and his wife were camping at their remote property and sitting by a campfire after sunset when a low white light approached, passed nearly overhead, and continued behind the trees. A few minutes later they heard yipping that rose and dropped into overlapping grunting, screams and yells from about half a mile away, followed by total silence. The witness said he had camped there for decades and never heard anything like it, and later felt a recording from another Michigan case sounded nearly identical.

The witness was woken around 3 a.m. by her husband to listen to a distant loud vocalization coming from the direction of power lines and a lake. The sound repeated about every 30 seconds for over an hour and was felt physically. She had never heard anything like it despite familiarity with local wildlife.

The witness was hiking upstream beyond a waterfall with two children and stopped to rest on large boulders by the river. A deer ran past, followed by a rock strike and the appearance of four hair-covered figures that killed the deer and gathered around it. The largest figure noticed the family, charged a short distance to their boulder, and screamed at them before stepping back after the witness shouted and another figure vocalized. The family walked out in shock, drove back to their cabin, cut their vacation short, and later sought counseling for distress and sleep problems.
