The witness was on a camp roof at night making moose calls to prepare for hunting season. After hearing distant cracking and movement in shoreline water, a loud unfamiliar scream sounded two or three times nearby. The frightened witness went inside the camp for the night and found nothing unusual the next day.

While camping alone with his two dogs on a familiar island, the witness's younger dog growled and barked toward the edge of lantern light where a tall dark humanoid silhouette stood. He heard twig snaps from the hill behind camp with the dog reacting to each sound. He slept with a machete and left the next day.
