On the third night of a three-day series, the witness walked home across a field after dark and heard footsteps converging to intercept him, smelled a strong foul odor, and sensed something pass very close unseen. From his illuminated backyard he then saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal figure standing by a clothesline pole about 40-50 feet away, staring at him for about 20 seconds before he ran inside.

In fall 1974 the witness was bowhunting and driving along the Niobrara River when he stopped to check a ravine. He saw a tall coal-colored hairy creature about 40 to 50 feet away watching him for about two seconds before it turned and ran south up the ravine on two feet.
