A group of about ten young campers spent Memorial weekend at a secluded forest clearing. After earlier strange sounds and a brief sighting, one camper encountered a tall bipedal figure near the camp bathroom area and alerted the group. Several campers armed themselves, moved children into a vehicle, fired warning shots, and pursued the figure toward a nearby friends camp where they reported being circled by three tall dark-furred bipeds. The following mornings the group reported handprints on vehicles, footprints, nests, and broken-tree crosses and teepee structures around both camps.

A large rock was then thrown from the woods over the fire between the two people, the witness fired two shots into the air, and the figure was heard moving, breaking a tree, splashing across the creek, and ascending the opposite hillside. The pair left most gear behind, drove home, and returned the next morning to recover equipment and examine the broken tree.

The figure with the eyes followed them to the lakeshore and then to their truck, staying in the trees and staring without sound or movement even when they charged toward it yelling. They backed away slowly, freed their stuck truck, and drove home, telling no one for years.
