After visiting friends, the witness rode a bicycle back through a woods trail as the sun got low. He heard bipedal footsteps paralleling him that stopped when he stopped and resumed when he pedaled. Frightened to be alone, he raced out of the woods.

The witness and companion parked in a new area cul-de-sac and sat in the car late into the night hearing crashing on three sides, a strong sulfury smell, and a long urination near the car. Near sunrise the witness saw two large dark furred animals on all fours outside the window reflecting green eyeshine. The witness got out and approached for a close look at their faces and build before returning to the car as they left.

After dark on top of a mountain the witness tried to descend switchbacks while his dogs kept running off toward whistling, branch-breaking and thrown objects. He felt three individuals flanking and closing in with stomping and an overwhelming sense of dread. He prepared to call his spouse to say goodbye and had no flashlight.

Later the same day while on a road with his dog, the witness heard stomping, whooping and a stick break uphill. About thirty feet away a very small black child-like figure stood from behind a stick structure, squatted rapidly and flipped its head back and forth. It then threw its arm forward and dashed away.

At seventeen the witness went alone to a stand at an uncle's deer camp after rain. He smelled a strong skunk and rotting-meat odor, heard branches breaking in the swamp, then saw a tall black hairy biped rise and walk past. It looked at him and continued on, with odor and breaking brush lingering as it left.

From a morning tree stand, the witness heard slow methodical crunching steps approaching through a cedar thicket. When the witness called out, something answered with a deep guttural growl-huff. The witness froze, then heard it leave and fired a shot to alert the father.

The witness tripped over a deer skull with a snapped neck and saw several more, then felt something pacing beside him while leaving. When he stepped off trail to confront it, a branch was bent back and struck him in the head, knocking him out until midnight. He later recalled a hair-covered face with brow ridges and said officials scrubbed sign from the snow and threatened him.

The witness was alone at night after pulling a deer into the woods to gut it. He heard cracking and clean snapping of branches circling just out of sight about 20 yards away. He could see nothing in the thick dark until his father drove by and he ran to the truck.
Wood knock
The witness and his cousin hiked the Birch Knob trail to an overlook, heard a wood knock behind them, then after dark heard a huge thump to the left and a very deep gargling growl to the right. They left and heard twigs breaking above them all the way to the car.
Door or window contact in Virginia
After the window incident the house was repeatedly smacked, cameras caught nothing and seemed avoided, and an access door was found open. One 5am morning the girlfriend heard window pecking then saw a big black arm pass the front-door window. The witness found piled weeds at the door and two muddy handprints at that bedroom window measuring about eight to nine inches long with slightly wider fingers.

A couple weeks later the witness stepped onto the porch and heard very heavy running footsteps beside the house. About a week later his girlfriend heard the same running behind the house. He tested it by running in heavy work boots and says the unknown runner sounded hundreds of pounds heavier than him.

A family group with friends hiked in to camp at a remote lake. After a joking tree knock received an answering knock, the night brought dog distress, stick-breaking sounds, and heavy bipedal footsteps passing the tents without disturbing food. The next day one camper felt watched while gathering firewood.

The witness and his younger cousin snuck into a forbidden area to hunt a large buck from a tall metal stand. They smelled a strong odor and watched a hairy creature emerge in pines about 75 yards away. After the cousin accidentally fired buckshot, the creature charged, smashed the stand legs, destroyed both guns, and the boys fled home.

The witness went to check another stand and heard whistling from two sources pacing back and forth on both sides of a fence and branch. Feeling hemmed in, he fired a shotgun into the thicket. The sounds stopped and he left.

The witness was deer hunting alone when he heard repeated wood knocks and then bipedal footsteps circling him. He saw a dark face with an angry eye peering from foliage in front while movement closed in behind, feeling an ambush attempt. He fired a shot behind him, heard four creatures run off on two legs, then heard crow-like calls.

A few days before the October chum opening, the guest and three others were anchored off Village Island when banging, chirping whistles and a strong stink were noticed. In the spotlight two upright creatures were seen on the beach, one larger in the grass and one smaller below, which crouched and covered their faces. Rifles were aimed but not fired, and the figures later left into the bush, with further eye-shine, scenting sounds, and a tree bent as one departed.

During a holiday weekend party at the cabin, a couple stood by a pickup near the wooded hill and heard stick breaks and shuffling approach close. They then heard a growl and the man thought he saw a very large person-like outline in the brush. He told his companion to walk to the cabin without running or looking back.

The witness and companions arrived at the family cabin after dark and parked on the hill above it. While unloading with the trunk open they heard a very loud stick break and shuffling in the brush that seemed to track their movements. One companion shined a light, saw nothing, then ran to the cabin followed by the witness.

A former military man stayed alone in a remote cabin without utilities near Snohomish to get away from people. Over months he heard creatures around the cabin, heard Jabba-like laughing, saw them while fishing and looking in windows, smelled sulfur, and saw one vanish and reappear. After a night of multiple individuals banging on the walls and vocalizing, he packed up and never returned.
