Trapper experiences nighttime vocalizations
The witness was baiting coon traps on a powerline edge after dark when he heard something approaching in the woods. The source stayed about 10 yards inside the treeline pacing back and forth and did not emerge. When the witness shone a flashlight toward the sounds he could see nothing for undergrowth, heard whooping, and the source ran off.

The witness and two young relatives rode off-road vehicles across the creek to old log barns and stopped. They heard a distant noise, then saw a hairy figure dart across a distant field with long strides and swinging hair. Its footfalls thudded deeply and it turned its whole upper body to glance sideways before disappearing.

On Friday night the group heard vocals from multiple directions. After dropping a 4x4 board to mimic knocks, the surrounding area erupted in sound. Walking up the trail, they heard something step out and shake a large tree very close and heard bipedal footsteps hit the mud, then backed out.

On Thursday night while three men sat by a vehicle, something crashed quickly through thick brush, flanked across the road and behind them. The witness followed the local guide into the treeline and a large log was thrown end-over-end toward them, hitting a tree. On leaving they found a log deliberately placed across the road where the thing had crossed and heard distant chatter and howls.

A few years after the property sightings, the witness camped alone off-trail on the Appalachian Trail. Around 2 a.m. something moved around the tent making odd pig-like or horse-like sounds, which was recorded. In the morning a food bag hung 15 feet up between trees was gone with the knot untied rather than broken.

As soon as she locked herself inside, something pushed and rocked the small trailer violently from side to side while the three girls screamed.

A dark furry quadruped with a misshapen head and greenish glow around the head crossed the field, looked at him, then darted back into the woods.

He felt intensely cold hands forcefully hold his legs and cut under his toes, while hearing movements on the wood floor. Upon fully waking and checking the house, he found no one there but later saw large missing chunks of skin under his toes.
