Another figure was later noticed closer and one flanking to the side on video review. The group heard only brush sounds as the figures paralleled them out to a road.

A 13-year-old witness fishing alone along a riverbank heard heavy thumping footsteps and heavy breathing from dense woods behind him and felt watched. After waiting motionless against a tree for about 20 minutes, he briefly saw a tall shaggy dark brown-black animal moving away at an angle about 35-40 feet away. The animal was in view only a few seconds before disappearing into thick woods.

A large figure stayed close behind him making tongue pops while a smaller chocolate-colored juvenile watched from a hill, and the larger one tossed pine cones at his foot. After dark he walked to his truck hearing footsteps on both sides, saw a pulsating light follow him across a clearing and sink into the ground, then continued to his truck.

The witness and a close friend were living in a tent camp deep in the woods while hiding as runaways. After hearing strange noises for some time, they returned to find the camp destroyed by fallen trees and witnessed shaking trees and a large hairy creature moving on all fours that charged past them kicking sand. They hid in a hollow until sunrise, then fled the area and never spoke of the event for years.

[name withheld] and a friend, ages about 10-11, were hiking unsupervised from an expedition base camp in the Cascades when they found drag marks and a crude log teepee structure. His friend climbed to peer inside and came face-to-face with a hair-covered, bear-like but man-like creature using a stick, then fled in terror to camp. The group stayed the night under guard and were told something large circled camp all night before they evacuated at dawn.

The guest and one fellow investigator camped in a research area in Lee County chosen after a Dogman report. They heard a growl, a distant tree fall, and something running around camp that was too fast to pinpoint on thermal, then found X-shaped tree structures without roots. On later visits team members saw a large dark humanoid with a conical head peek from behind a tree, found broken branches, and heard loud peacock-like bird sounds with nothing visible.

In the northern woods the witness observed a single red glowing light that moved in response to movement near a tree. Others present also saw it. After audible running through woods, something threw a large rock into a nearby river.
Vocalization near Isabella County
Residents of a central Michigan farm reported frequent night vocalizations over several years. Recorders captured goat-like and horse-like sounds, breathing and banging on a food barrel, and loud knocks from the woods when people moved between buildings. The witness investigated possible human sources and found one distant caller to exclude, but did not see the source.

The witness volunteered as bait on a southern Michigan property while others monitored with microphones. Operators reported footsteps following the witness along a road. On other nights the group broadcast whale sounds and later recorded similar sounds unprompted, and daytime slapping on a garage was reported until cameras and lights were installed.

The witness felt cold then heat, briefly could not move, struck the shape, and heard it walk away bipedally. The witness and five family members were camping and fishing at a remote lake. In the evening rocks were thrown toward a brother across the lake, followed by mimicked voices, screams, growls and surrounding noises. A large live tree was pushed over and fast-moving silhouettes were seen around the camp. The group abandoned their gear and left after the brother, who had been paced in the woods, rejoined them at the car.
Howl in Virginia
A camping party arrived late at a ridgetop site and heard strange howling around 2 to 3 a.m. the first night. The next evening after dinner the dog fixated on brush by a steep drop, where one camper saw paired eyes at close range that avoided a flashlight, followed by branch breaks and a tall tree-like silhouette that walked from one side of camp to the road and later showed yellow eyeshine. The group packed hurriedly, secured the dog and lights, and drove home the same night feeling watched but not directly threatened.

About 1960, the submitter's husband and two school friends were spending a weekend night inside a relative's cabin when they felt watched and saw a tall hair-covered figure silhouetted by the open refrigerator light. The boys shouted and split up to flee to the car, with the husband reporting something running close behind him that he could hear breathing and smell strongly like moldy skunk. In hindsight he wondered whether the figure was also fleeing and had simply taken the same path.

On night two a separate team driving a roadway saw red eyeshine about ten feet up that turned and crossed the road. They pursued on foot hearing twig snaps and rustling of something large and seeing shifting eyeshine eight to ten feet up. Members then reported feeling ill, disoriented, and trance-like, with the last person feeling lured away from the group.

He describes footsteps closing in, growling and heavy breathing, a monkey-like figure in a tree and shapes running across the road, then a large figure stepping into the road, pausing to look and feinting from behind a fallen tree while a lighter figure jumped into the road and dropped to all fours before leaving.
