On one of their last nights in the house, the witness's wife woke him to listen to repeated high whoop sounds approaching over about 40 minutes. He heard spaced footsteps in leaves outside the bedroom wall within feet of his head while their dog growled. He went to the porch with a gun, heard one more loud call felt in his chest, fired into the ground, and it fell silent.

In October during high school, the guest and his brother parked on a four-wheel road to hunt and waited in the truck for daylight. Something slapped the truck with open-palm force enough to rock it, then they heard footsteps on the road. The guest stepped out, glimpsed a huge dark figure moving left to right, then grabbed lights and guns but found nothing and continued hunting.

After crossing a fence they watched a tall hairy biped step over the fence and move between trees to watch them before heading toward a creek. While walking a dirt road home at night after shining fields, the pair heard a loud exhaling rush from a ditch and saw bushes erupt. They observed a large dark two-legged silhouette cross a moonlit cotton field with heavy footfalls felt in the ground. They ran to the house and later were dismissed when they told others.

A few years before the interview the guest walked a forest road at night in deep East Texas to see if an animal would follow him. After hiding by cane and waiting between pines, he fired his thermally sighted rifle at a heat signature following him. The animal screamed loudly, crashed through brush and splashed across a creek, and was tracked for two days with no blood or hair found.

About midnight he heard heavy bipedal footsteps approach from behind without a light, then cross a barbed-wire fence. The woods went silent before heavy footsteps that could be felt, grunting sounds, and two large trees falling without wind occurred. The pair left early without seeing the source.

The guest brought his wife to the aggressive area. Walking out, a deafening scream knocked his wife down, heard only by them though three others were nearby. She wanted to leave but stayed. That night things walked around, opened a cooler, and at 5 a.m. dropped rebar with a clang and fled.

Around 2 a.m. the guest heard clicking and movement around tents and vehicles. After hours of activity, something lifted a Dutch oven lid, charged 30 feet, pushed a fist through his tent window and then pushed its face inches from his. He held a pistol, heard a voice telling him to kick his legs, did so, and the group left chirping. Urine, prints and handprints were found.
Vocalization
With eight to ten people on a hillside, the group heard something run 100 yards below through aspens at high speed breaking limbs while screaming and vocalizing. It then ran behind them grunting like a gorilla and slapping trees, continuing for hours until morning.

The witness, then a teenager, drove to a ranch at night to hunt raccoons with a dog. The dog acted fearful, livestock were huddled, and the woods were silent before a foul odor, heavy thumps, a branch break, growls and a scream occurred. The witness then saw large red eyes and a huge upright figure at close range, froze in terror and prayed, then fled to the truck without clear memory of the retreat, later finding the dog on the road and abandoning the rifle.
