The group walked back to the truck without running while hearing twigs snapping behind them, and later wondered if they had disturbed the animal while feeding.

The witness was turkey hunting at dawn on a wet, still morning when he heard a rhythmic sound like footsteps approaching up a valley. A tall upright creature came into view about 50 yards away, stopped, stared at him, and crouched after he clicked off his shotgun safety before continuing on and disappearing. He did not shoot, then ran back to his truck. He later described a foul smell lingering after the encounter.

After calling for about two hours he watched approaching turkeys suddenly flee, then heard slow bipedal footsteps in the creek bottom. A dark figure he first mistook for a person approached to about eighty feet, grabbed a pine, vocalized angrily with language-like sounds and growls, displayed teeth, rocked and shook the tree, then walked away and gave a loud abrupt yell. The witness waited before leaving on foot, heard a loud fresh tree break, ran to his four-wheeler, left, then returned with a rifle to watch the treeline.

After turkeys spooked he heard footsteps, saw a figure he first took for a man, then watched it grab a tree, vocalize angrily, rock the tree, bare teeth and leave with a loud yell. He describes its size, barrel build, face, mud and debris in hair, then walked out watchfully, left gear, prayed, and sat with a rifle by his truck.

The witness and two companions were backpacking and camping in a wilderness area, working to start a fire at dusk when the witness and one companion heard a loud, long howl-like scream repeated three times from far up a hollow. The witness judged it unlike any known local animal call. Later that night after the fire burned down, the witness alone heard loud stomping and large branches snapping near the creek close to camp for a few minutes.

The guest and his best friend fished at the uncle's lake then dug for fossils at the high wall. Rocks were thrown at them from a ravine, then heavy footsteps paced them behind tall reeds. When they reached the truck and turned on headlights, an 8-9 foot upright grayish-black figure ran from behind the reeds up a steep hill in seconds and disappeared.

The activity continued over several days with more distant knocks that seemed to approach, another large rock landing near the witness, and an ice chest found opened.

The witness then heard a deep growl followed by a loud progressive scream that seemed non-human and kept hearing vocalizations after going back inside. The witness and a companion parked after dark in an observation lot and heard chattering and rock-clacking from a hillside, then approaching bipedal footsteps crossing the lot. The witness repositioned the vehicle to shine headlights and glimpsed a large bipedal figure vaulting a barrier and descending an embankment. Afterward the witness found fresh muddy footprints crossing the road and lot on the same path.

After two does trotted away, they heard a loud deep roar trailing to a squeal and then saw the same deer sprint closely past them. They then heard loud heavy running described as distinctly two-legged along the ridgeline and fled in their vehicle.

She moved her young child to the porch while her companion remained unaware he was being observed. Later that night her companion encountered something very large approaching on foot, prompting him to run inside and lock the doors, concluding it was not a bear.
