On one of their last nights in the house, the witness's wife woke him to listen to repeated high whoop sounds approaching over about 40 minutes. He heard spaced footsteps in leaves outside the bedroom wall within feet of his head while their dog growled. He went to the porch with a gun, heard one more loud call felt in his chest, fired into the ground, and it fell silent.
Eyeshine in Indiana
In darkness the witness walked a logging path to his tree stand while two sets of eyeshine paralleled him side-by-side for a long distance. When he switched on white light at about 15 feet the eyes rose to about seven feet with a bark-like grunt, then vanished. From the stand he watched one taller and one smaller eyeshine peek from behind a tree until a neighbor's vehicle lights approached, when they crashed away loudly through the woods.

While hauling a refrigerated load north at night, the witness pulled onto an exit ramp to check a temperature alert and began diagnostics on the trailer. The witness noticed a musky odor and breathing, turned on cab work lights, and found a tall hairy face leaning in within a few feet. When the trailer engine kicked on, both were startled, the creature slapped the unit hard enough to break fiberglass and then ran across a field with heavy footfalls.

The witness left food at a stump and hid a new audio recorder nearby from Saturday morning to Sunday morning. On playback he reports hearing footsteps approaching, tapping on metal, English-like phrases and mumbling, a shushing pause, and a wood knock. The dog then reacted aggressively and the witness looked up to see two large hairy figures standing near dense vegetation. The witness returned with two friends to camp in the valley. After finding a parked car had been spun and scuffed, he lay awake in the tent hearing something slide down the valley wall, cross the creek, and knock over a cooler. Footsteps circled the tent and stopped over his head, and he saw a massive head looking down before it left.

The witness, then a child, slipped with several other scouts into woods by a pond despite warnings. They heard splashes, heavy impacts rippling the water, bipedal steps breaking branches circling the pond, and a loud angry scream, then fled. Later that night in a shared tent they heard heavy footsteps and sniffing between tents, followed by dogs attacking something, one dog later found killed, after which the group was ordered off the property.
