The witness reports seeing a tall hair-covered figure passing the living room picture window about once a year over several years while watching television late at night. The witness was walking the dog in the front yard late at night in snow and moonlight when dogs went quiet and a musky odor appeared. The witness heard heavy two-legged steps and watched a tall hairy figure with a conical head cross a field with long strides and step over a barbed-wire fence. After whistling, the witness raised a hand and the figure appeared to raise its hand in return before leaving.

The witness and three companions turned five dogs loose at night when powerful screams were directed first at the men then at the dogs. Something bipedal with heavy footsteps ran fast left to right toward the dogs, silencing them. The dogs were found wedged in a road culvert and had to be pulled out. A daylight return found a single-file running trackway down the hill.

The witness was deer hunting from a tree stand in the early morning when loud footsteps were heard in a nearby pasture. Standing to look, the witness saw a large hairy figure about twenty yards away walking quickly with a long stride. The figure was estimated at 6 to 7 feet tall, dark rusty brown, with broad muscular shoulders, long arms and no apparent neck, and it never looked toward the witness.

The witness was camping alone at night reading in a chair when a loud branch snap was heard nearby. Gas cans and other items behind a shed were knocked over as something large moved a short distance through trees and stopped across a creek. The witness's dogs cowered at the trailer door and the witness retreated inside with a feeling of being watched.

The witness and four family members walked a trail by a lake near dusk. After moving a large branch from the path, they found wet foot-shaped prints leading uphill and saw two dark human-like shapes lying still in the woods. They heard bipedal footsteps that stopped and started with them, then left and returned later to photograph and measure the prints and hear more steps and a breath-like sound.

After reaching the shelter, he was awakened about 5:30 a.m. by two very loud, high-pitched howls from a nearby ravine that he did not recognize as any known animal.

The witness was driving home with her son at dusk when a tall, dark-furred biped with long arms crossed the road in front of their vehicle in about three strides and entered the woods. After pulling into the driveway, they noticed a strong rotten odor and heard branches breaking and a high-pitched woot sound. They went inside, and the odor was gone when the witness returned outside an hour later.

The witness, on patrol driving west on Highway 128 outside Cloverdale, first noticed movement and eye reflection in brush along a ravine. After backing up, the witness observed a tall, brown-furred bipedal figure walking away through overgrowth, pushing branches aside with its arm. The witness then stopped and listened for several minutes as slow crunching sounds receded toward a creek area.

The witness and a companion camped beside a strip pond after fishing and cooking. Around 4 a.m. the witness awoke to heavy footsteps coming down a steep high wall to the tent, followed by heavy breathing and a throat-clear that mimicked his own. He shouted that he had a gun while his companion remained asleep, then heard the visitor drink from the water with its hands, sit briefly by the tent, and climb back up. The next morning they found 18-inch tracks at the edge of the reeds.
