They reported hearing howls, a whoop and slow knocks, then seeing at least eight pairs of eye shine positioned around the vehicle. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

The reporter stared at the eyes and then made out a large black bulky form with massive forearms that stayed motionless in the headlights. A figure approached the vehicle from the passenger side to within a few feet, appearing curious and focused on the inside of the vehicle, then crossed the road. He climbed a side hill and saw a still dark bear draped over a vine maple, then noticed a very large dark-brown biped standing about 50 feet away with its back turned.
